A moment of promise comes
to those who take time
to stop and smell the roses
Heard is this old phrase
once or twice, but still
a promising thought
Petals fragrant and soft
of pure hues delights those
who pursue its delicate form
The rose is full of romance
for many lovers for its beauty
shall flourish - until it dies

breathe air into the
dry lung that is alive
Consume wholeness
purity inhaled feels the
wellness that comes to thrive
Look, see the beauty as
shadows dissipate the ugly rule
light shows one ways to arrive
Again, time conquers one’s woes
His hand covers thee gently
teaching one how to survive

Warmth of your splendor touched me today
something in my mind said ‘Feel My Way’
My heart smiled - together we are now one
He said, ‘Eternal Life Promise from the Son’
My voice spoke to an expressive quill pen
reminds one of my coming know not when
Until that moment, follow holy laws
to keep your soul pure leave whatever was
What I promise will fill your heartfelt needs
this is what the bible to me forever reads

The moon of the night
caress the barren limbs
of the sycamore which
longs for her re-growth
Gentle breezes whisper
through her aged branches
that contain secrets of the
young from long ago yesterday
Lovers swayed beneath her
sprawling arms sharing their love
with adorn protection from the
sycamore that surrounded them
Sheltered from the world of
uncertainty, couples remain safe
from harm as the old sycamore
again contains a new memory of -
lovers and their youthful dreams

My hearts cry for a companion lost
as one waits for life to return to
the lifeless body of fallen grace
Tears flow as innocence has died
her feathers of silk shrinking to a
non-existence colorless world
Her lost of life saddens my heart
and soul, but I am uplifted knowing
God’s hand touches His creatures…
during their moment of death
Author’s Note:
Inspired by an email sent to me about the mate of a
dead Swallow standing by her side realizing she is gone.
He calls for her as he mourns his loss. Sadness touches
my heart as I feel his loss...rg

I long for what I once knew
the love of my life who was you,
coming to me in a time of sorrow
stayed with me forever tomorrow
I long for what I once had
lost love that left my tears so sad,
quickly as special love came
it left me, no one is to blame
I long for what I once lost
love I felt freely without cost,
secure with my heart complete
our love was tender oh, so sweet
My heart knows you shall not come home
years passed as I sit silently alone

He said unto me - follow
For I shall lift your soul high
Your heart is full not - hollow
Fear not your lost soul shall fly
Hear my laws that lead you - home
Trust my word come close to Me
Your spirit sees lighted - dome
Glory shall be brought to thee
Flying with your angel - wings
To heaven where spirit lives
Fingers yearn to play harp - strings
A place where God loves and gives
Come! Feel His forgiving ways
See His light with golden rays!

Every colored rose has a specific meaning
you touch its color; it touches your longing heart
The blue rose do not occur naturally with nature
for it is artificially stained that brings you sinister
mystery or a curious desire hidden silently within
Such a color is designed by artistic human hands
to excite your every whim, to enthrall curiosity
Passion within the confines of your childish mind,
drawing you into its beautifully created petals and
sweetened scent that whisks you to enchantment
Close your eyes to the colors around you and
openly dream blue of the rose into your heart
Envision dewdrops of luscious splendor with
delicate memories to surround your dreams,
taking you to heights of pure contentment
Mysteries are not open for all to explore,
the expansions of your vision now is open
for your eyes only to see, but the curiosity
with the blue of the rose is sadly written,
for it is something greatly desired -
beyond one’s reach, unattainable
