Although, not all who wander are lost
they have walked along the same ground
they don't know it but their paths have crossed
Each walked so soft
Careful that they didn't make a sound

I am alone in this dark place
I hear something moving around
It is creeping in on me
Waiting, it is always waiting
It will come for everyone
It is as sneaky as a fox in the woods
I wish I could escape this
As it draws near

bright smile, light skin
slicked back hair, crooked teeth
These are all the things that make me like you
but you will never know
Your laughter
so loud and full and true
Your voice
deep, calm, interesting

melts my heart
your smartness
makes me wonder,
what are you doing here in this work place
you could go so much farther

I would give anything for him to notice me
just once, please look my way
who am I kidding he will never see
He won't stray
His eyes sparkle like the sea
I will still pray

Why won't she notice
I love her smile, please look at me

I wanted you to know
that when you smile, I smile
that when you cry, I cry
you have told me your story
and I have told you mine

that when you are sad
I want to hug you
but I can't, and I am sad

Maybe I was the fool
foolish for loving you
you were so cruel
