Jennifer Morgan Poem
HEAVEN NOW HAS THE REST
It’s been so long
Since my eyes have seen your face
There’s still days I wish you were here so I could tell you
Everything going right or wrong.
Your smile was the moon in my sky at night
And your laughter was my stars;
You are still in my heart
You will always be its light.
Even after all these years
I wonder how you would be
If you were here,
Some days there are still tears.
Heaven has the best
For now you have wings;
We lived a few years here in this life,
Heaven now has the rest.

Jennifer Morgan Poem
Remember Me
Remember me
When I used to talk to you
About all my joys, fears, happiness, and tears?
I always found comfort on your knee.
Where did those times go?
Were they washed away with the rain?
Or dried up with the sun?
They aren't something to outgrow.
Remember me
When I knew you'd always catch me?
No matter how hard I fell
I knew you would never leave me.
I used to know
That I could trust you
That I always had a hand to hold
Where did those days go?
I know it’s of my own accord
That I feel this way
Life sometimes creeps up
And makes us loose things we can't afford.
Remember me
As I try to find you again
And get things back and even better
Than the used to be.

Jennifer Morgan Poem
It’s been oh so long
Since I’ve seen your smiling face
We were so innocent and young back then
For you to not be here with me now seems so wrong.
We ruled the world together every day
Never thought we’d be apart
We planned to do so much together
Now it is under a cold stone you lay.
Life is full of things I do not understand
Why did you have to leave me so early?
That’s a question I often ask the Lord above
I guess it proves life does not always go as we planned.
I still love you and want you to know
As the soft, quiet tears still fall today
I’ll forever cherish ever single memory
And of each one I will never let go.

Jennifer Morgan Poem
Unfailing Love
Lord as we look to you
for all our needs
we yearn the most
for your unfailing love.
So many of us need
the hope that is in you alone
and the peace that only you give.
You have so many blessings
ready for us
oh if only we would receive!
Lord now I need the hope
that is in you alone
and the peace that only you give
you have so many blessings
ready for me
and I am before you now
humble and ready to receive.
Lord as I look to you
for all of my needs
but most of all I yearn
for your unfailing love.

Jennifer Morgan Poem
If only I could hold your heart
The way you hold mine
Just to know you felt the same inside
Would stop this feeling of being torn apart.
The way your smile made your eyes dance
Your laughter brightened the darkest room
Your kind spirit in such a strong man
My heart never had a chance.
Your hands rough from the field
Yet your eyes still shone bright
And your touch was so gentle
With just you being you it was my heart that you healed.
My heart fell for you
Without either of us realizing it I guess
And even though it will never be returned
I will always love you.

Jennifer Morgan Poem
I wish you could hear me
Telling you my journeys good and bad
I share them both even though you are gone
I stand here now wishing you could hear me
From the ground.
I wish you could see me holding these photos
Of the people you never got to meet
Since you were taken too soon
Now I stand here wishing you could see
From the ground.
I wish you could smell the rose I hold
The yellow one that still just can’t match your smile
Or the light you brought into the world
I wish you could smell the rose with me
From the ground.
I wish you could taste my tears
That I still cry for you because you are gone
Then I would know you remember that I love you forever
But I know you no longer have pain
From the ground.
