If Only I Could Hold Your Heart

If only I could hold your heart The way you hold mine Just to know you felt the same inside Would stop this feeling of being torn apart. The way your smile made your eyes dance Your laughter brightened the darkest room Your kind spirit in such a strong man My heart never had a chance. Your hands rough from the field Yet your eyes still shone bright And your touch was so gentle With just you being you it was my heart that you healed. My heart fell for you Without either of us realizing it I guess And even though it will never be returned I will always love you. Written by Jen Morgan 8/16/2016
