Lost Little Girl

There's a lost little girl
Roaming this world
Searching for truth and for love
Aimlessly seeking
Never reaping
All she is deserving of

There's a lost little girl
Giving life a whirl
While living her life all alone
Hidden inside
Is where she resides
Ever since she's been on her own

The little girl's life
Has been about strife
But now she tries to mend
Still lost and confused
She's easily bruised
For love she still contends

Her acceptance is grief
Her guilt has no relief
When her past comes chasing her down
Still she holds on to her rope
With a glimmer of hope
That her life will soon turn around

Until I Am Complete

I will not speak the words
Your ears are wanting to hear
I will not show those feelings
Your heart wants me to share

I will not see you differently
Your eyes are blind towards me
I will not hear your sorrow
It will not set me free

I have become the person
I'm happy with inside
It matters not what you think
No longer will I hide

I've tried to make all happy
I've tried to please you all
I've tried to be the person
Captured I've been thralled

So now I'm breaking free
From all the chains that bind
I've opened up this can of worms
To freely speak my mind

I'm sorry if your bothered
I'm sorry if your sad
I'm sorry if your guilty
I'm sorry if your mad

The time has finally come
To stand on my own feet
I'll travel through the flames of hell
Until I feel complete

One, Two

One is such a lonely number
It's taste is bittersweet
Oddly taking on the world
Losing to defeat

Two makes one better
Standing steadfastly strong
Conquering the unknown
Together they belong

Holding hands they journey
Hurdling obsticles in the way
Breaking through barriers
Together day after day

One was such a lonely number
Two came in and won
Hearts collided deep inside
And now the two are one

Breaking the Chains

Tired is my heart
From empty promises you give
Life is what I've chosen
With or without you I will live

Your words have damaged
What cannot now be repaired
But as GOD is my witness
No longer I'll despair

I'll move forward
And never look behind
To wonder what could have been
I've made up my mind

I'm tired of being
Your pawn to degrade
I've got my choices
And this one's been made

I have a great life
With a wonderful man
He's all that I need
And he's my biggest fan

No more sorrow
No more tears
No more loneliness
Will I fear

My life is now
With him by my side
He gave me love
When all else died

Thank you my love
For standing by me
In my darkest moments
Your love set me free

Marriagement

It's a sweltering hot firey day
As she hides behind the door
Wondering where her life went
Wanting so much more

Tired of the same ole routine
Of listening to you snore
While sleeping on the sofa
Her life becomes a bore

Participation in this relationship
On your part would be great
Since she struggles alone
She wonders how she rates

I love you is finely spoken
But she needs to know
When communication is few
And love doesn't show

What is it you hold
Within your heart
That you can't say the words of
Or participate your part

Sadly she cries
Those hidden tears
Desparately waiting
On all that she fears

So tell her you need her
Everyday of your life
Show her you mean it
Afterall, she's your wife

Because I'M Your Friend

Because I'm your friend
I offer my heart
For kindness and love
Straight from the start

I'll hold your hand
I'll comfort you too
You can count on my shoulder
When you're lonely and blue

I'll always be honest
I'll never lie
I promise you this
Till the day I die

You might not agree
With things I may say
I'm not out to hurt you
It'll all be ok

I'll never betray you
I'll stand by your side
My friendship with you
I will never deny

I value your friendship
Your worth I defend
It's because of your acceptance
That I am your friend

Thank you my special friend!

Family Ties

Families come in many styles
But one can never choose
The family you'll be born to
It's a game of win or lose

Families come in many sizes
From small to large they'll range
Some will be close at hand
While others become estrange

Families come in many forms
From poor to filthy rich
Some work hard for many years
While others end up in a ditch

Families come from different times
Some are worlds apart
Some can't leave the past behind
While others will restart

Families come and families go
Blood is thinned by water
A mothers love will never end
For that of her only daughter

My War Within

Shards of metal pieces
Running through my veins
From the knife you used to stab me
Destruction's all you've gained

Bit by bit you've taken
Every ounce of who I am
And when I'm finally happy
You still don't give a damn

Saddness seems your poison
You angerly berate
Immortalness denies
All the hatred you create

You want to take my words
And twist them inside out
My thoughts you try to steal
So all I have is doubt

You think you can control me
By manipulation and guilt
But take a look around you
My walls are those you've built

My walls grow stronger everyday
Protecting from the pain
And when I choose to do so
I'll come out of the rain

My Mother Doesn'T Need Me

My mother does not need me
To wish her a happy day
That's made for only mothers
Who love in every way

My mother does not need me
To her I'm just a lie
And if I haven't told you
It's me she does deny

My mother does not need me
She's made it very clear
Her pride lies with her boys
While I'm the one she fears

My mother does not need me
And frankly I don't care
Cause all the love that she has showin'
Has caused me great despair

My mother does not need me
She has so many friends
If she wants true happiness
On them she can depend

Thank God For You

There's only one person
With whom I love
The greatest gift
From God above

Fate stepped in
And took my heart
My love for you
Was from the start

I've learned a lot
Along the way
The journey was hard
But I'm here to stay

No earthly matter
No possessions too
Will ever compare
The way I love you

Sacrifices I've made
Were all worthwhile
It's the love you give back
That makes my heart smile

And if I have to
Give up more
I'll do what it takes
For love to explore

Thank you God
For the greatest man I have known
Thank you fate
For the love he has shown
