My War Within

Shards of metal pieces Running through my veins From the knife you used to stab me Destruction's all you've gained Bit by bit you've taken Every ounce of who I am And when I'm finally happy You still don't give a damn Saddness seems your poison You angerly berate Immortalness denies All the hatred you create You want to take my words And twist them inside out My thoughts you try to steal So all I have is doubt You think you can control me By manipulation and guilt But take a look around you My walls are those you've built My walls grow stronger everyday Protecting from the pain And when I choose to do so I'll come out of the rain
