Lira-Diez Veronica Poem
Opportunity knocks every corner I turn
I'ts up to me to uncover the stones
Every step that I take is pushed by strenght
of endurance and skills that are learned
Nothing is given for free I've been told
take when you can and learn to be strong
born to win is my destiny
the survivor in me must adjust to be free
I can be overbearing and strong
just enought to voice my own
if you ask me the strom will not tumble me
the heat will not wither my sensitive soul
I will not be torn, I will not be defeated
to reach success in any form
the strenght of experience pushes me through
the echo's of past voices saying "you are through"
to achieve even if by walking over your feet
I will push and push, let survival set in
until the seeds of greatness are sown
one day I will reach my destiny and goal

Lira-Diez Veronica Poem
The secret princess sits in her balcony
not of jewels and shiny diamonds
but of deceptions disguised as love
And she wants to sing
The pain hidden for she thinks it's trash
welcoming sighs deep in the night
don't cry anymore little angel eyes
and she wants to sing
Their eyes are angry;jealousy cries
green envy have you heard them shout
"you can't don't even try!"
and she wants to sing
The voices that said "not of your kind"
to her tender little heart
that thundering voice, deep in her mind
No one believed her heart was brave
able, willing, wanting to share
no one knew what she faced
And she wanted to sing
Mistakes inherited passed on to her
inherited without a care
and yet they screamed loud to the wind
"NOT OF YOUR KIND"
And maybe it was a whisper she heard
loud in her heart but all she wanted to say
I WANT TO SING

Lira-Diez Veronica Poem
ENDANGERED SPECIES
Where are the nuclear units
The mother and father team
I’m looking for you
You on the verge of extinction
Is it a myth that once stood strong?
The wall that held us up so long
The barrier that protected us
Is it myth, fiction make believe
Ideologies are strong
Tells me to go on
The American Dream
Mother, Father you and me
An emotional need absorbs me
Are we really doing well?
We must prepare for what may no longer be
An endangered species we might be
Ideologies are high
Set up in the sky
Can we reach survive the climb?
And if the endangered species falls the climb
Will it break us? Will we survive?
