I Trust My Heart Not To Betray Me

They say greed comes over with power
All corrupt powerful people had kind hearts
But they couldn't overcome selfishness
And the kind hearts vanished like the wind

They say the poor made them cry
And they wished for power to help them
But after warming seats in high positions
All they saw were insects

If they changed after
Or were born greedy...I don't know
They ought to turn back and put themselves in the poor's shoes
Or at least have a change of heart

I wish to become someone powerful
One people can count on and run to
Corrupt-free and generous will I be
Cause I trust my heart not to betray me

Mother

How can I say that you are amazing?
How can I describe your kindness?
Should I add est to the word and say amazingest?
No...that's too weird and too simple

They say admiring is stronger than loving
But you are worth more than admiration
And if could make up a word to describe you
It would be no other than true-mother

Why do you put your kids first
And leave yourself behind for later?
Spending mornings and evenings working
Tiring yourself so that they can have the best from you

Love and care can be seen in your eyes
Passion and motherly kindness can be heard in our voice
And we,your children,are so ungrateful,so carefree
But you hug us in your warm tender arms

Mother
