At Peace

She laid there cradled in my arms, staring at the stars. The moonlight flooding her skin. Her dark loose hair immaculate from the gentle breeze. Held close, warm.
She was at peace. So was I.
I couldn't keep count of time. Just knew we were somewhere in adar. All I was aware of was our hearts beating in perfect harmony. How I wish the time right now could freeze. She gazed at the universe in silence. Serene and calm.
And I wandered in mine only after losing myself in her eyes.

Letting Go

We've been hoping too much, on things that will never happen as such. We've been telling ourselves lies to stay, never noticing how the time is flying away. Holding on to the little things just because of the happiness and comfort it brings. Forsaking opportunities, only to do as we please. Never ending addiction, relentless desperation, with the slowly dying faith that maybe one day, one day we will be able to say, "I let go."

It Never Ends

I still look at you the same way I did from day one.
And I'll admit it again and again
That through thick and thin, through the storms and hurricanes, you're the only one.

You're the only one who makes my heart beat a little faster.
You're the only one who holds my whole universe in her eyes.
You're the only one I crave to see smiling a bit longer.
You're the only one who makes me still feel the butterflies.

Its never been that way with anybody else,
I tried and I tried,
Tried to use my mind to make sense,
The heart cried, O it cried.

I still fear the day,
I still fear the day when you'll love somebody.
Because its going to happen someday, where the skies of my world will turn gray.

Somebody who won't see it important to hold your hand at every moment.
Somebody who won't feel the slight changes in your voice tone and ask you if anything is wrong.
Somebody who's going to insist to stay for years even if everything is done.
Somebody who'll never know the true value of your love.
And who'll never ever notice how beautiful your lip curves when you smile.
That smile that lights up every nerve and makes me alive.

And that glow on your face,
That glow on your face when you do something mischievous,
That glow on your face when you are happy,
Laughing so brightly and carelessly.
I have to to admit thats one of the rare causes of my glee.

Some things are eternal.
These are not mere words, but probably said after so many miracles.
Its a love that has proven its sincerity through the labyrinth of time,
Coming back to you after every trial,
And there's no denial that
It'll probably never be over.

The Wolf Is Here

It is anything but true,
Lurking around you.
Silent under the perfect white,
It does not lose you of sight.

It will lead the family to destruction,
It wants the blood of the children.
It is patiently waiting to attack,
Hiding behind the fathers' back.

It is your friend, your brother, your sister.
It is thirsty for power.
It will take all and leave none.
It has already poisoned our sons.

Trust nobody, hide your tongues.
For your words are going around like a song.
Be on your guard, stretch your ears,
The wolf under the skin of a sheep is here.

Haunting Fears

Sauntering in the abyss of my museum of memories,
With all my true faces lurking in the grim of this gruesome silence.
Broken my pride is.
And broken was my life’s stance.
I look at the monolith as it patronizes the prelude to my cries.
Not so fortunate was I.
The clock ticks my breath away.
And even the illuminated opaque walls have something to say.
I close my eyes to the moon emanating an iridescence of memories flooding my face.
My vicious demons smile, victorious, as I struggle to leave the place.
As I get closer to the edge,
My vindictive heart forces to take a last look at the blood dripping from my fingers.
To take me away today they pledge.
Not frightened.
Not afraid of what it takes anymore.
And then I see your face.
And it all comes to a halt.
That awful pain and darkness fades.
I suddenly open my eyes to a blinding light from a small oval opening.
While finding myself over again in the delightful but annoying chirps, I stare at the ceiling dismayed.
Was that a nightmare?
Or the fear that one day you won’t care?

Flying Away

Looking into your eyes gets thousand of ideas running through my mind.
Yeah for sure our story is one of its kind.

Maybe that is why every time I try to pen it down,
it all ends up in a huff and a frown.

Some more time,
hell give my something to rhyme.
Maybe falling a bit too easily was my crime.

Right,
I'm here writing while you're already on your flight.

Crossing seven seas and travelling thousand miles.
Leaving me here with a bitter, bitter smile.

Beautiful

I wonder.
I wonder whether you are aware.
Aware that with your eyes closed, gentle breeze caressing your hair and mild rays of the sun kissing your skin, you look like an angel.
An angel in a deep slumber with nothing but the most innocent face I will ever see.
And even with your eyes open, messy hair and a weary look,
I still ask myself if one day I'll ever be able to pen down exactly what makes you so beautiful.
I guess that till then, I'll just watch the sun rising right behind you, each and every time in silence for as the sun, you complement everything with your radiance.
