Kayla Poulin Poem
For every minute that she had count
The days dimmed beyond the trees
She spoke of bloomings and lily seeds
For the deer beyond was not on mount
The day forward was paramount
Above the clouds appeared gusty
The day beyond was foreseen
She could not speak of her account
Drinking from thy decayed spout
Drowning myself in the motionless vision
Escaping from this enclosure
Leaving this den with precision
Taking my steps on the clovers
The day I saw was envisioned
Just an illusion caused by overexposure

Kayla Poulin Poem
Beneath thy hills the statutes arose
Leaning slowly as the wind does blow
Topiaries swaying toward thy regime
Cutting down thy swaying trees
They aboard thy land as if a ship sailed
Thy indigent souls cried for help
Sounding of screams and wails
Thy union set out to override the base
Children and parents holding thy face
Thy face of God thy children held
Hoping for freedom to be weld
Suffrage became thy new born trees
On the land of control, for it was a disease
