Defintion of a Man

If you ask me what I got
I got my man, and that's alot
I do not mean to be a snot
Just let me tell you what he is not...

He is not a man who always lies
He is not a man who always cries
At night he sings me lullabies
Then looks at me into my eyes
He will not ever wear a disguise
Time spent with me, is time spent wise
He is not like most other guys
He keeps it tight with no loose ties
He tries so hard, atleast he tries
He will not leave with sad goodbyes
He does not give me allibyes
He likes to always organize
His love could fill up all the skies
And most of all, his love never dies

So if you ask me what I got
I got my man, and that's alot
I do not mean to be a snot
Because a snot is something I am not.

Structured Living

I love you and you love me
Whatever will be, I guess, will be
Being with you is all I see
You are everything to me.

Releasing pressure from your hold
I never thought you'de be so bold!
I never thought you'de be so cold
And so the truth would soon unfold.

Just like beaches are to sand
Or like humans are to land,
I'de give my arm to hold your hand
See this I just don't understand.

I do not care what others say
My love for you won't go away,
But, you have, and that's okay
For now but, I'll wait one more day.

With me is where I wish you'de stay
I want this pain to go away,
Everynight I always pray
I'll be with you again someday.

My Son

My son is the kind of boy
To show you how to use his toy,

If he thinks that you're a good friend
He'll be good to you he won't pretend,

So much love,my son,he keeps
But like all kids he mones and weeps,

He's smarter than he may seem
He knows what's real and what's a dream,

And he won't hear me if I yell
But he will listen closely if he fell,

And if he hears a train go "Choo-Choo"
He'll say "I heard that mommy,did you?",

When we have company he's so polite
I'm glad so far I've raised him right,

With his brown hair and eyes so blue
He loves to play with paper and glue,

I hope one day that he will see
Nobody can love him more than me.

Deeply

Hurt me deeply, yes it's true
So why am I still loving you?

Was it not me who buttered your bread
Was it not me but her instead?

My love you'de throw away so quick
These things in life just make me sick

And so this is your way out
Is this what you are all about

These questions all run through my mind
I thought you weren't the sneaking kind

Oh how I wish this wasn't me
Feeling so trapped, while you feel free

Next time you tell someone your past
I hope that she runs far and fast.

Tis the Season

The time is here
For the Season of cheer,
Such a cozy time of year

Leaves are turning green to red
After that the leaves will shed,
All the birds will soon have fled

Wind is blowing all around
Picking leaves up off the ground,
Putting them back where they were found

Smells of pastries and pumpkins in the air
Food and parties to prepare,
Tis The Season I declare.

Dreaming Away

Many times throughout my day
I take time out to get away,

I don't get away physically
My way out most times is mentally,

I like to go way deep in thought
Searching for that perfect spot,

A spot to help me soothe my pain
Where I unwind and release strain,

With my eyes closed so soft and light
I see places I've never seen with sight,

During these times I dream like that
Hours pass in no time flat,

Some may think dreams just waste time
Now who said that was such a crime?

And now the time has come for me
To dream some more, don't you agree?

The Awakening

Wake me up when it all ends
Please wake me up when my heart mends.
I don't want to see the dimmest light
I don't want up til it's alright.
Don't shake me up, or say my name
Please wait til things are back the same.
If not the same; atleast anew
And don't wake me until its through.
I'll be hiding in the dark
My brain shut down, my heart in park.
My eyes are closed cause I'm afraid
To see all the mistakes I've made.
Don't aggrevate my humble rest
Before all things are at their best.
Putting all this stuff on you
Even seems like too much to do.
It seems I have lost all control
I've lost all courage, and lost my soul.
Too weak, to even think of strong
Please let me sleep, I don't care how long.
Remember to wake me, I told you when
And I will get up, but only then.
If you never awaken me, and walk away
I'm sorry you had to leave me this way.
