Bye Yesterday, Hello Today

Bring a cup and fetch my Tears, Because tomorrow has been for Years. Life challenges, my favorite Seat, As my fear dances to my Heartbeat. Day and night, I don't Care, As poverty, the cloth i Wear. Happiness travels in Dreams, Yet with hope, possible it Seems. Drunk, a way to Forget. Yet once awake, it's time to Regret. Questions, i ask Myself, Even though no answers on my Shelve. Here i am slowly Sinking, In that ocean called Thinking. As a new day keeps Wishing, Maybe Faith is what's Missing. After all is said and Done Like the rise of a new Sun, The hope for a better Tomorrow, Is the path i have chosen to Follow.

The Man In a Cage

That man in a cage, His vision could touch the sky. Day and night could not compete, As his mission covered distance. Still in that cage, His thoughts were so deep. Deep enough to drown an ocean, But he is drowning in his dreams. He knows he is in a cage, As everyday offered no help. Yet his hope did not mind his age, So a new day was his target. In his cage, he loves a song, "Hope for a better tomorrow". So it remains his best song, Even though he is in a cage. The cage is himself, And the vision is Happiness. Who is that man in a cage? You and I.

Lost

Silently sitting under the Rain, Hoping it washes away my Pain Straight down the Drain And ease off this Strain. My back in so much Pain Evidence of Hardwork. What would be the Gain, Would i meet with Luck. Sweep the distance off my Feet, And bring the journey to Me. In my eyes you will See, That life is not so Sweet. Wearing poverty as a Dress, I walk with constant Stress. And i knew i had lost Track, As i am deep in the Dark.

The Quote

My heart beating on my Hands, As reality show off it's Fangs. This poverty busy taking Pride, And enjoying it's joy Ride. If i could swap my Dream, This pain would drown in a Stream. But reality has struck Again, And i am left with no Gain. Day or Night, which to Blame? As i lay down feeling Lame. Traveling through my Thought, Am lost like a drop of water in a Pot. My faith is as old as Me. But is my hope able to See What is hidden under the Sun, When i reach the next Turn. Suddenly i remember the Quote, Which is older than my shabby Coat And strong enough to help me Cope. "Where there is Life, there is Hope"

Then and Now

The Gain below par the Pain, With Time tasting like a Lime. No Joy like a lifeless Toy, A sad Song for so Long. Hope in order to Cope, Was what they Say each Day. But down the Pit is where i Sit, And am Bound to what i had Found. The day Came, yet i felt Lame, The Table turned away from a Fable What they Said, has finally Paid, Hope in order to Cope. As i Pack and thinking Back. I Wear a smile and not Fear, The Pain has become my Gain And Life feels like a new Wife.

Life

Take my words and ink them. Paint the depth of my thought; And you will surely understand; Life is, up down side side. A foot on a patch of green; Embraces a smile like never. Day and night becomes the same, From a slip into the brown side. Life, she is so beautiful; Yet she is two faced. Beauty or the Beast; From your side of the fence. Life, such a lonely path. With same set of options; Backward, stagnant and Ahead. And each option we must experience. Death, the tax officer; Waiting to collect the debt. But unlike the tax officer, Life, a beautiful story to live.

Night and Day

Oh Ye Night, bring forth sleep; Because in thee i find true bliss. As Ye bring forth sleep, Be Thy intimate path to peace. Oh Ye Sleep, bring forth dreams; Because in thee i find my hope. Dreams light enough to float in streams, And not slide down a slope. Oh Ye Dreams, strengthen my faith; As Ye i need for each new day. Draw me closer to my fate, And give my story words to say. Oh Ye New Day, work with my fate. The hope for a better tomorrow, Use my Dreams, Hope and faith; To wash away thy everyday sorrow.
