Live Life As If a Miracle

Inspired by the movie “Miracles from Heaven (2016)”

Live life as if a miracle
Open your eyes you’ll see
Undeniably biblical
It’s truly gluten-free
Some might be skeptical

Views might be apolitical
Everyone has their own say
No one stops to enjoy the day.
Take a look at the biological
Even Einstein could not disagree
Right before you all this time, give praise and thanks to Thee.

If I Did Not Love You

A poem for every parent.

If I didn’t love you, would I say I care?
Would it matter where you going or what you have to wear?
If I didn’t love you, would I want to hear?
Everything you did today while I hold you near.

If I didn’t love you, would I ever say?
“Come let’s kneel down and thank our Lord for yet another day.”
If I didn’t love you, would I say goodnight?
Would I tuck you in your bed before switching off the light?

If I didn’t love you, when you feeling ill.
Would I take your temperature while you suffering with the chill?
If I didn’t love you, would I stick around?
Listen to your cruel insults, fighting on this battleground.

If I didn’t love you, would I let you go?
Praying that you’ll see the light and know I love you so.

The Perfect Recipe

Take some patience and some time
Mix in trust and then combine
Heaps of Joy and tenderness
Don’t be shy with generous

Love and hope must also go
Take your time but don’t be slow
Use forgiveness, no regret
Respect and friendliness, don’t forget

there’s no place for dishonesty
frustration, rage or animosity
Just add prayer and humbleness
The end result - a life of bliss

Mystery Girl

Marie Charlotte in the back of the Beetle, sleeping
Young lovers, engaged on the road with their destiny
Suddenly through the fog… a cliff… a scream…dreadfully
Two lovers resting in the Klein Karoo, not breathing
Easter Weekend, come every year, or so people say
Riding next to the road with her thumb on Good Friday
You might pick up the young mystery girl from Uniondale

Music Man

I have no music in my soul
                        I have no rhythm too
but in my head I hear this song
I sing it on the loo

Verse one is very difficult
It takes a lot of skill
The second verse comes easier
I start to know the drill

Just before I reach the chorus
of this I’m not too sure
I can hear my neighbor screaming
		        or is it an encore?

By the time I reach the last line
		         of my lil’ serenade
Someone is banging at my door
		         maybe the music trade?

The Disaster

The Disaster.

When you play the helpless victim,
making me out to be a whore.

I'll move out of the equation,
Your fantasy villain, no more!

When I feel like a worthless slave,
that disappointed his master

Please accept my resignation,

Yours’s Faithfully,

The GrandMaster.

Three Keys

Throughout my live I was handed keys
To open many doors, some to lease
Doors of difficulty, doors of ease
Three keys stands out most from all of these

Key One I got when I turned one
It started my car with a brrhumhum
It was so innocent, it was fun
This key I got when I turned one

Key Two I got and I felt I won
The day I turned on twenty one
My door was open I could run
I could drive my own car, buy a gun

Key Three I got it on my knees
I still can’t use it, it’s on freeze
To open Heaven’s Great Big Gate
I beg you Lord, please end my wait
