Soldiers Prayer

Lover, lover
Return to me
Of you I can only dream
Don't let my heart
Break on it's seam
Don't let the enemy
Steal my dream

Lover, lover
Please be safe
Remember the life
That we made
Don't forget the things
That we do
My heart is forever waiting for you

Lover, Lover
Don't let go
My soul will shatter ever so
I know I can't forever grieve
If your soul begs to leave

Lover, Lover
Please be brave
I dare not grieve by your grave
Hear my plea on wind and tree
May the angels guide you
Back to me

Lover, Lover
May fortune grant this wish
Let it be forever so
Return to me I won't let go
If time calls and you must go
Wait for me by heaven's door

Lover, Lover
Be at peace
I pray for you upon my knees
Return to me be at ease
Let your heart find it's release

True Love

Love...
A rite of passage
A privilege
One's soul takes in reason
When the heart is of season
Love...
A state of mind
A fuller being
Action of will
Cast from devotion
Resolve and emotion
Love...
A Contract of heart
Binding and evolving
A deeper resolution of
One's souls evolution
Life's revolution
Lovers constitution
Free of persecution
Restitution and prosecution
Love...
A Limitless landscape
Unchained, untamed
Love is absolute
Love is true
My love is you.

Dream Weaver

She spun a web of dreams
With strands of silver moonlight
Centered lies a star so bright
Illuminating her desired night
Framed in dancing silhouettes
As dusk kissed earth's
Silken breast
Midnight governs soul and heart
She flirts with planetary counterparts
Romantic kisses from her lips
Sensual caresses of slender finger tips
She shed her self of cloth and shame
Bathed in twilight's soothing rain
Laid herself upon blooming meadow
Thoughts drifting little sparrows
She spent the hours resting there
As the southern wind teased her hair
Upon awaking she found herself
Tiptoe balanced on Time's collective shelf
Heart beating like fairy bells
Overlooking sapphire oceans
She felt the wave of calming emotions
Her dream spun web now complete
She joins the company of silent sleep
Her midnight tale in heart she'll keep.

The Poet

I'm stuck all inside my head
So tired of being dead
Left wandering in my rhymes
Poet's usual seductive time
I'm justifiably happy
Poetically sad
Forevermore in thought of
Rainy days and trees that sway
Mockingbirds and broken hearts that hurt
Stuck inside with erotic rhymes of
Explicit times
Profane life's of illicit wives
Provocative words spread
Naked on my virgin page
Poetry struggling for release
Thoughts tear at the membrane
Of my mind like hungry beasts
Screaming
Pleading
Biting and clawing to be free
To bleed in ink
To converse in sync
Picture perfect words of love and hope
Lies painted realistic
Mirrored events turned poetic
lovers raging with savage hearts
Old friendships torn apart
My thoughts are of another time
Romantic kingdoms grown wild
Brighter bluer emerald skies
Emotions refusing to die
But in moments of fleeting time
my thoughts flirt with desires of
You and I
A soft crashing of passion
Silk flown love and maybe
A flying dove
I'm stuck in my head
At least I can say ...
I'm left to be with the company
Of my poetry.

Silent Heart

She's at peace
A puzzle with a missing piece
A rhymeless melody
Sung on Autumn's breeze
Waves crashing upon empty shores
White sand under sunless sky
She has forsaken chance
A Lonely Moonlight dance
She's a childlike dreamer
A Fairytale romance seeker
Inside she died yet
So much alive
Lives under light of moon
Safe in her shell
Heart crafted cocoon
She's both
Happy and sad
Cuddled in a vacant bed
Romantic themes haunt her dreams
Images of what she once had
Lives now without lie
But her soul remains unoccupied
She grew strong
Carries on like nothing's wrong
Still at times feels misplaced
Tears scream to be chased
Loneliness leaves a bitter taste
Life taught lessons learned
Keeps her from hurt
Her Prince does not exist
He faded with Moonlit mist.

The Voyage

She sailed on the rift of her jagged heart
Soul sails torn apart
Crushing blows of despair
Dreamlike wings fight tempest air
Deep within her maelstrom core
Riptide loose her ever so
Pulling and twisting her very soul
Stranded on barren soil
She sailed to her very edge
Upon a vessel of regret
Stranded fighting for survival
Her inner demons her only rival
She stands upon memories ash
Witnessing her spirit crash
Beneath the pit of her bottomless sea
Her core erupts and bleeds
Upon her spine linked wounded soul
Loneliness begins to crawl
Hope eluded in winds of time
Cold earth scented mold
She buried her love forever to hold
Seeded Faith she yearns to grow
Answered by a crying crow.

Survival

Her future she cannot see
Within the city
Over towering trees
Her night
A starless sky
Moonlight replaced by
Neon lights
Concrete and glass
Replace flowers and grass
She holds dear to memories she has
A child joyful and happy
Growing up in the country
A time of past
A fairytale her heart will tell
For now she's living in neon hell
With bills to pay
Careers that failed
Standing up when she fell
Just to make a life in this
Concrete hell
Friends are few
Even fewer are true
Love is found
When payment is due
She longs to start anew
And must do all she can do
To escape this neon fence
To escape this Concrete hell
She takes a chance
Upon a stage she makes her stance
With pole in hand
She starts to dance

Understanding

Be strong when he's weak
Show him his strength in his weakness
So that he can be strong for you
Be understanding when she fears
Show her that her fears are temporary
But your love is for eternity
Let him honor you as he sees fit
Don't give him the need to prove his worth
For it will only show what he does not see
Let her govern the court of your heart
Realize her need to want to have that part
Let her dream with desires for she's of
Phoenix fire
Let him be the champion of the field
Don't ignore his inheritance of the
Protectors role
Guide his strength so he can't fall
Accept her independence of her soul
Show her the limitless potentials
Within her don't try to restrict her
Insure her
Lead but follow her
For she will guide and accompany you
Without restrictions in all you do
Don't make her be of lesser
In her greatness you can see your own
Worthiness
Her tears are your fears
Her happiness is your acceptance
Your heart is his servitude
See his gratitude
His soul's virility is his dignity
Be just
Be true

Hope

She glides on the wind
Feather soft
Silent dancer from above
Her touch a gentle breeze
Washed away doubt with ease
Twilight hair of fiery hue
Skin scented in morning dew
Her voice a calming pitch
Each note arranged perfectly
Only songbirds sing in harmony
As she plays on her heart's
Golden strings
She sees through eyes of
Emerald seas
Playful waves crest and ebb
Ever daringly
Filled with joyful curiosity and
Perfect clarity
Moonlight shines her way
She walks on starlight beam
Dances with dawn upon a dream
Clouds beneath her feet give way
To give her beauty time to play
Upon her lips of night and day
Lies a passion meant to linger
As it surges from soul to tip
Of her elegant fingers
She's both passing summer
Coming winter
A ray of warm sunshine
On glistening snow
With a hint of autumn glow
She's of heart's perfection with a
Soul's seduction
Of her being lives no fear
No doubt
Darkest of nights retreat to fold
She's life's beauty
She's a heart's wish told
Her name is hope.

Poetic Prison

Incarcerated thoughts scream of
Liberation from dreams
Desires sentenced to be written
Guilty of emotions felt
No longer hidden
Judged by pen held
Witness of the eye
Thoughts become testimonials
Half truths and silver lie
A life sentence passed
On words of romance
Dreams, fears of the past
Prison of the mind holds
Dark secrets of night
Forbidden pleasures
Hidden desires
Tortured dreams
Barred behind what is
What was
What is seen
Jury of the heart casts vote
The soul executes judgment told
Chance for release granted
In written dreams
Freedom arranged
Exonerated on the page.
