A Growing Love

Our family is a big one but it seems to grow more each day,
But there is plenty of room for your son and lots of love I'd say.

Now i know it can be scary to be a first time mom,
But we are all here to help you when you feel you can't be strong.

We will be there for his firsts and seconds too you see,
Because little baby Braxtyn will be spoiled as can be.

The Pain Behind Her Smile

There is this pain inside of me that no one else can see,
a pain that I always hide deep inside of me.

some may call it anxiety some may say I am depressed,
but the only thing that I can say is that it gets my best.

It causes an every day battle that I am fighting with myself,
and believe it or not it is considered to be bad health.

It fights me in the morning and makes it hard to get up,
and although I try to fight it, it will never stop.

Just because a person has a smile on their face,
Please remember that It does not mean that they are in a happy place.

Butterfly Kisses

Butterfly kisses so soft and so sweet, I always used to place them gently on your cheek. And even though right now mommy is not there, she hopes and prays you will always know she cares.

Invisible Attempts

Its hard always trying to impress people, especially when they truly are not looking. To go out of your way to prove something, that really nobody cares about. Each and every day I try to do what is right, to show them that i have changed. It is as if their eyes are shut to the truth, all that matters is what they saw on the news. Meth Lab, drugs, baby involved.. Ignore the heart ache pain and attempted suicides. Now I am finally out of the situation, finally trying to be me again. But its impossible to show them that its different, that I am trying. I am trapped in my own mind even when I am away from him. Everybody says they want to help, they want to see me better myself. But its hard always trying to impress people, especially when they truly are not looking. To go out of your way to prove something, that really nobody cares about.

Keep Faith

There is a person who stands beside us all, A person who helps each of us whenever we may fall. We will never have to face things on our own, because always he will be there even if not known. He guides us from the dark when we happen to stray and promises in our hearts is where he will always stay. There is not a moment where god is not in our lives, even though we may never see him with our eyes. All we must do is drop our heads to pray, everything will be alright as long as we keep our faith.

The Man Before the Addict

I remember our first kiss, effortless and breathless.. The way our hands fit together, perfect and space-less. It seems as although in a blink of an eye both were replaced with fights, restless and endless. I remember the love, warm and strong.. The way we used to smile, many and long. It seems as though just as quick as they started they were gone all that was left was, darkness and emptiness. I remember the man you used to be, caring and kind.. The way you used to always protect me, safe and sound. But the drugs took that away too, soon there was only distance and space. I remember the man before the addict, the love before the pain. That will never change.

Consumed

She is consumed with herself, not in a good way either.
She is consumed by herself, by her thoughts and
by her past.

She has tried to forget it all, to drowned out the memories.
She has yet to be successful, to permanently make it
all disappear.

She is always overwhelmed, even when she chooses not to show it.
She actually works really hard to hide it, to keep it deep
inside of her self.

She cant seem to keep it inside now, it is starting to break through.
She is at a lose as to how to stop it, how to speak out and
how to get help.

She feel like a child, a child who has been repeatedly beaten down.
She has been beaten down, not just by herself but also
by others.

She is consumed with herself, not in a good way either.
She is consumed by herself, by her thoughts and
by her past...

Defined

Am i the only babe or are there others like before..
Are you my boyfriend or is my foot just barley in the door..

I dont want any lies or to have you say what you think i want to hear..
I just want to know if your still only mine even when i am not here..

I know that things are complicated we have never been defined...
But my heart is truly yours is your heart truly all mine..?
