To Love Without Hope

We got the diagnosis before we left
Too stunned to speak and think- we were bereft~
What to do, what to say- how do we cope?
When all is left for our days is to love; without hope....

Green With Envy

Keeping up with the "Joneses" leads nowhere-
You discover quickly that Life isn't fair!
Be content with the Life that is your own...
If you have what you need you shouldn't bemoan-
Not everyone can be a millionaire!

Angel

sweetly sings the bird
angel visits from above
watching over me

Anticipation

friendship's abrupt halt
down into the winter's depths...
spring
is when you'd be back

light now brightening
flowers and birds coming back~
yet
you have not returned

A Song of Spring -Anacreontic Verse

a sea of yellow
 waving daffodils
glint in the sunshine
 and greet us on this
country road trip~
trees bedecked
in blossoms-
a soft riot
of colorful buds
 and popping petals
occasionally
drifting lazily
to the lush verdant
grass carpet below...
as the sun
plays peek-a-boo
with drifting clouds-
the pitter patter
of raindrops
start slowly
but crescendo...
brief in nature~
(like spring itself)
until the showers
have nourished the earth
bringing hope
to the flowers
and to us -
Springtime Lovers~
a new Season
to love
