Alfredo Barrientoz Poem
He grew up in a family so big he wasn't even seen.
He was the youngest of seven, and all he had to wear
Was his brothers hand me downs.
No he didn't get much attention,
And oh I forgot to mention..
His daddy was never around.
He was the unforgiving.
His daddy always worked,
And was always drunk
For as long as he could remember.
They even stayed up late one night,
And shared a couple of beers.
He remebers his dad
Walking in his room,
And kissing him good night.
It's the only time he said "I love you'
He was the unforgivin'.
No, he never played ball with his son,
And never took him fishin'.
All of this was just wishful thinkin'.
He was the unforgivin'.
His son's grown up now
With three daughters of his own,
But he wasn't the best father
They would know.
All he can remember is walking in their room
Kissing them good night,
And saying "I love you".
He is the unforgivin'.

Alfredo Barrientoz Poem
That's mine, that's yours-
Don't take anything you didn't come here for.
My heart, my soul
That would follow anywhere you wanna go.
That's mine, that's yours.
We both decided we were done with the games.
Tired of all the hurt and the pain.
So we thru the past away,
Both believing for a brand you day.
That's mine, that's yours-
Don't take anything you didn't come here for.
My heart, my soul
That would follow anywhere you wanna go.
That's mine, that's yours.
I followed my heart and soul
To the Indiana line
Giving love one more try.
Just to have it taken from my soul.
That's mine, that's yours-
Don't take anything you didn't come here for.
My heart, my soul
You took my love, and walked out the door.
Guess our love didn't mean a thing to you at all.
You stole my heart and watched me fall.
That's mine, that's yours,
Don't take anything you didn't come here for.
My heart, my soul
That's mine, that's yours..

Alfredo Barrientoz Poem
Look at me with patient eyes,
Getting to know me is not going to be easy
I've been put away for some time.
My way of thinking is not the same.
My level of trust has been broken.
You must approach me slowly,
I don't know your intentions.
Call my name so I turn your way-
I know now you are a friend,
And not an enemy.
Look at me with patient eyes.
Loving me is not going to be easy
I've been put away for some time.
Reach out to me slowly,
Your touch is unfamiliar.
As your hands touch my body
A sense of fear covers me-
Quickly comforted by the patient look in your eyes.

Alfredo Barrientoz Poem
I meant to be the one,
To prove what love could do.
To share my fatherly advice,
That would pull my daughter through.
I used to hold her in my arms,
And protect her from all harm.
Now Lord I come to you ,
Needing your direction.
Cause I can't be there to catch her when she falls.
These arms are strong enough,
But I can be there ,
To catch her when she falls.
I want to hold her close,
And say everything will be ok.
But those tears I can't wipe away.
Instead I'm not around, and the pain won't go away.
Oh Lord I seek your face,
Touch this broken place.
My daughter Need Your Love,
And your fatherly grace .
Cause I can't be there
To catch her when she falls.
These arms are strong enough,
But I can't be there
To catch her when she falls.
So Lord, I lift her up to you
There's some things
That his father can't do.
She has a void in her life,
That I just can't fill.
So hear me when I pray,
As I Lift her up to you.
Cause I can be there,
(These arms are strong enough)
No, I can't be there
To catch her when she falls...

Alfredo Barrientoz Poem
Today is the day when just fit a moment
The world stopped for two special people.
For a moment time stood still,
So they could see the sparkles
In the eyes from the life that was created
By two people in love.
No matter where you are,
Or what you've done,
You will always be someone special
To the one's who love you the most.
May all your hopes, and dreams
Come true, now and forever.
