Goodbye

I say farewell to you
because I never knew
my time would come soon
like the waning of the moon
your eyes filled with tears,
your hands holding mine,
I feel the love and pain
for years it had only been in vain
because I will be gone for once and all.
but you always wanted me by your side
as the girl whom you loved the most.
'O mother' do not weep!
and 'O mother' do not curse!
My day has come, it's time to part
bless me for the afterlife.
Though I die now,
I live forever in your heart!

What Would You Choose

If you sit, you can feel the world,
but if you walk, you can understand the world!

The Culture Since Ages

After the evolution of fire,
Man’s wise discovery for survival
Was the indispensible culture
Of raising crops.

It came through their ancestors,
They created fields of happiness.

Albeit accurate in their perspective of culture,
They were unaware of the modern complications,
But they believed their culture and worshiped it.

The men were a collision of knowledge and tradition.
The emergence of modern period has viewed agriculture
as an economic activity.
But the men had become an inspiration for the youth.

Their hard work has served the nation enormously.
But the country left them with no land
And dearth of them is the worst.

Their successful revolutions had led to victory,
History holds their strive,
As long as we realise their importance,
We would thrive!

A tribute to farmers..............

Stupid Things

There stood an old chest of mine
in the attic with empty bottles of wine,
covered by the woven nets of spiders
and layers of dust and darkness.

I unlocked it to reveal the treasure
and dusted out the darkness,
it contained memorabilia of my lost age.

I took out some toffee wrappers,
the ones cherished long ago,
Cadburys, Lotte, Nestle,
I once chewed them all endlessly......

Out popped a bunch of lolly sticks,
and a set of black paper clips,
beside them were lying my
carven pencils and inked papers.

And beneath them hid my
captured moments,
I pulled them one by one for
these moments forgotten long before.....

Inside the chest's lid
hung my colourful ribbon,
and there was a little mirror with
cute little stickers on its sides,

And all these stuffs made my childhood portentous....

I Am So Blank

when i put my pen down down down......
my mind goes round round round round,

paper's blank blank blank.....
my brain's an empty tank tank tank,

I ought to think think think.....
but still i blink blink blink,

i shake , i swirl
i hip and hop for a poem
but nothing's in-
out to pop for one

and 'o' i remember
it's already done!

A Day In a Town

Sun
was bright
shining in the sky
i wandered in the
lands of distant unknowingly
the scenery had a bucolic setting
the clouds harbinger-ed the arrival of rain
i could feel the petrichor but it was ephemeral
the efflorescence of trees bore apples
the apples on the trees were redolent and winsome
the erstwhile serendipity of this place could be felt
my dalliance with this place would be remarkable
my father had a old propinquity with this town
he felt freedom in this paradise
and i too in epiphany
the night grew dark and
came the queen
the shining
moon

I Am Alone

I am so lonely
i have got to do something
i am alone in this world,
i am alone inside my heart

I have got to do something
they betrayed me,
i am alone inside my heart
my heart is sinking in vain

They betrayed me,
they were all with me once...
my heart is sinking in vain
i can't live in this hypocritical world.

They were all with me once,
i could recollect the sweet memories...
i can't live in this hypocritical world,
but i could never swallow the bitter ones too.

I could recollect the sweet memories,
but they used me for their cause and left me lonely....
but i could never swallow the bitter ones too,
i was a fool to hobnob them.

They used me for their cause and left me lonely
i'm alone in this world....
i was a fool to hobnob them...
i am so lonely.

My Happy Wedding

The love at first sight
I knew it might be right
our eyes spoke, our hearts smiled
and we loved each other
we knew we would make it to this day
and i knew we would walk hand in hand in the North Bay

This day, a wonderful day is special because
i have got the man whom i have been waiting for
after i met him, my life got changed

I donno what to say
he is perfect in his way
I donno what to say
I just love him every day

I'm so lucky to get him
and i knew that when i met him
he always stood by my side
he was always there to guide
he knew i would be the best gift in his life

he is not the man to bother about
but we knew we were made for each other
and i donno what to say
It feels good on his lap to lay
I donno what to say
he just loves me everyday !

The Nostalgic Vibe

scents of the old pine and hazelwood sail through the damp air,
the old teak never ceases to astound a visitor.
Gargantuan its tall spread wings engulfing the whole structure.
the minute carvings and the niches in the logs appear quite
undistinguishable.
These evoke the smell of fresh wine and fruits
that were once gobbled ravenously.

Those golden facades upon where the queen's beautiful doves perch,
are now merely an old eagle's beak.
Into the garden ran the swan and goosy ducks paddling their feet for
a dip in the luminous pond, a thousand years ago.

The king's long hall courteously held his courtiers through the reigning years.
The summoning of merrymakers could almost be heard a thousand years ago.
They with flickering beads and jingles danced through
history for the sight of their majesty
on the red-tiled floor.

The interior chamber, a glory of artillery
and a call for battles of victory.
There hung the rusty gleaming swords and shields,
sheathed by blood and sweat adorning the warrior clan.
The long cry of valiant men in the field of war,
scorched by their silent enemy in the sky and stripped by the roaring thunder of great storms, all could be seen a thousand years ago.

The wooden panels staccatoed with memories
and beams of history and pillars of time, all crowded
in this majestic architecture, never ceases to astound a visitor.

The Weapon of Life - Hope

In the dark night,
I followed a light,
It led to my heart,
which was broken apart.
the light gave me warmth,
hope and confidence.
And with the glow in my eyes,
I came back to life!
