Elizabeth Fowler Poem
And who was to know this creature so beautiful stripped and wild
Was about to take the form of child.
A child that needed love and protecting from harm
Yet none was there to comfort, to alarm
The sting of life this child could feel
But soon no longer as she would heal
A journey so strong so very true
The colour was no longer an emotion, blue
A force from above became a force within,
Why oh why did this take so long to begin.
Why? My child I hear you ask,
For there were lessons you needed to pass.
Enjoy this life and share your love
For then you will know the freedom of a dove
For I see you child I know your heart,
Be sure to make your sweet sweet mark.
