Lenny Gazbowski Poem
I'll always be a poet
I'll always breathe
dance and weave
I'll always be a poet
who wanders into the shadows
where I will live and I die
and in those moments of pain
I'll drink to him
yes I'll drink to my hero in the sky
my dad, who left his body
some 15 years ago
he's my all time hero
I know he checks in with me
from time to time
and this I know for sure
he's always
deep inside my heart
dad, I love you
dad, I miss you
dad, I'll soon be seeing you soon.
AUTHOR'S NOTES:
Ladies & gentlemen, NSA, GCHQ, MI5/6 & MOSSAD ;)
My dad battled with lung, prostate and skin cancer and left his body at the age of 81. We shared a beautiful final 10 years and I know he keeps an eye on me ! He had a wacky sense of humor which I have inherited ! His catchphrase was - 'I'm looking for a bald headed blonde ! '
ADDITIONAL NOTE'S:
I have, with the wonderful assistance of my wife Nikki published my first Kindle book of poetry, it contains a selection of never before seen, four lined poems. The title is Words For You - Lenny Gazbowski.

Lenny Gazbowski Poem
I arrived at my dad's flat
to be greeted by my auntie
who was in a state of shock
she had found my dad
sitting on his bed staring into space
she had tried to engage my dad in conversation
but he was totally unresponsive
the back story briefly:
my dad had lung, skin and prostrate cancer
and he was now living on borrowed time
although he had looked brighter
before he was discharged
today my dad resembled a ghost
I managed to get my dad in his wheelchair
and take him to the bathroom
where he fell unconscious
I slapped my dad's face
I didn't want to
but I had to
he came back to me
the relief was like a volcano exploding
I checked on my auntie
who was still visibly shaking
she was 95 and my favourite auntie
seeing her shaking and crying
made my feel so useless
dad's Macmillan Nurse arrived
and assessed the situation
she rang for the ambulance
I knew the answer already
but I still asked her if this was it
she didn't need to say a word
there was a knock at the door
and in came the paramedics
after carrying out their checks
we headed off to Whiston Hospital
in the back of the ambulance
I held my dad's hand and looked into his eyes
I told him it was almost time to return Home
I encouraged him to embrace the Light
and not to be afraid
I told him his father was there waiting for him
I told my dad I loved him
it was our final conversation.

Lenny Gazbowski Poem
white heat - red hot
white heat - red hot
melting the flesh
off those who become
distracted
with eyes open
they choose to remain blind
and moth like
they are pulled towards
the white heat - red hot
white heat - red hot
melting the flesh
off those who become
distracted.

Lenny Gazbowski Poem
Cheerfully relaxing
Happy and content
Resting from it all
I am here - I am not, I am
Surrendering, I become it all
Timeless and eternal
Mysterious but knowable
Always
Speaking words of
Silence
And a Merry Christmass to you all.
A brand spankingly new poem for a while. I've been busy with health matters, both my wife and I(I am still waiting for my operation - 3 months after my pre-op-assessment), and finally my poetry. I've been putting them in order for the two Kindle books of poetry I have on offer:- Words Four You & Crack or Christ, the Words For you is a collection poems with only 4 lines, and Crack or Christ which contains 50 mouth watering poems of which there are some deep poems, and I mean deep !My Authors page follows.

Lenny Gazbowski Poem
ripped my head
clean off my shoulders !
and yet here I am
observing the remains
of a head on collision
there is blood everywhere
and I havent passed out
my Kawasaki will never
ride with me again
hey, but I'm not in pain
and my head came clean off !
Where am I ?

Lenny Gazbowski Poem
Stupid, I feel stupid
for wanting you back in my life
especially after you stabbed me
with my favourite kitchen knife
stupid, I feel stupid
for wanting you back in my life
The warning signs had been there
it started with little things
your pulling away the chair
and how you laughed when I fell to the floor
stupid, I feel stupid
for wanting you back in my life
After you had stabbed me
you at least gave me time to heal
before you came came speeding right at me
in your ex boyfriends car
stupid, I am stupid
for wanting you back in my life.

Lenny Gazbowski Poem
in beautiful
isolation
the feminine red
melts into
the stream of life
becoming one
with all around
travelling beyond
birth and death
denying static dogma
embracing
all that is seen
and unseen.

Lenny Gazbowski Poem
children's games
are generally dull
and quite lame,
so to make them fun
I like to cheat,
and with my trusting children
it always works a treat.
