Soul Brother

I have jumped off waterfalls,
And swam with dolphins in the deepest,
I have trekked the steepest mountains,
And tranversed the savannah,
My life seemed to its fullest but it was empty,
Because it was all about me.

First time we met, we were nemeses,
Probably because what was likely to bind us,
Was way stronger than the differences,
So we fought it, until it prevailed.

You are an answer to a prayer I never said,
You came around perfectly timed,
They say blood is thicker than water,
You proved that blood could be made of stardust,
You stayed, you got my blood.
Thanks for being even more than a brother.

I Choose You

So we get back to that cold evening,
I see you hugging my brother,
I notice the smile and the twinkle in your eye,
I let them pass because you made my brother smile.

So time flows, and we get to finally meet,
I ignore me, choosing his happiness,
Hoping that finally he ha found his happily ever after,
You kept that smile even when you fought,
Until finally the pain outweighed the pleasure,
You wanted to break, I tried to hold you together,
He let you go, you let him fly,
You stayed alone in my arms... even when it was forbidden.

So now we stand smiling at each other,
Forgetting everything but us,
The magic we have together, the reality we face,
I choose you, today, now, tomorrow,
I will keep choosing you.
My brother will let go, and even if he doesn't,
I will choose you

Heart To Heart

I have put my yes near your eyes,
I have put my heart near your heart,
We have counted stars side by side,
And painted rainbows on rainy days,
Just to add colour to the bleak.

Together we wrote down our dreams,
We weaved an intricate web of destiny,
Spun the webs of fate,
Created something so beautiful,
No gem could be put to it.

It is a perfect duet,
whenever you sing your heart to me,
And I pour my feelings to you,
Nothing but the stars above,
Know the magic that bids us,
When we are heart to heart.

Lord of My Moment

Time wont move
Its like Im paralyzed by it.
Memories and dreams,
They make no difference to me.
The blooming of a flower,
The floating of petals in the air.

History conjoined with the future,
Unending, memories we have no control over.
The laughter of a newborn,
The wail of a dying man.

As the clock continues with its incessant song,
and another speck adds to the heap of gold
in the hourglass,
i choose to live now.
Relishig what I can control,
Neither victim nor schemer,
Just the lord of my moment.
