Cyan Latrice Poem
Looking down on me.
Wishing you could be here now.
Accepting your fate.
Appearing in every dream.
You realize that I'll be fine.

Cyan Latrice Poem
Thinking will not prolong the inevitable.
Hoping for yesterday will not stop tomorrow.
Incompetence only takes you so far.
Shooting for the stars is our destination.
Initially, we must all create our paths.
Slowly, may our fate take its shape.
In time, memories shall begin to fade.
Tapping in rhythm with our hearts content.

Cyan Latrice Poem
Walking by myself
I'm surrounded by nothing.
At peace I can be.

Cyan Latrice Poem
Sadness swallows me
Tears stain the crumbled paper
Are you happy now?

Cyan Latrice Poem
Palm of your hand grazes my flushed cheeks.
Trees shiver as our hearts beat in rhythm.
In time, our love will defeat all odds.
The look you give warms my heart.
Snow falls onto our skin.

Cyan Latrice Poem
I used to have a friend in which was my best friend.
But now I look at them and all I see is a stranger.
I always wondered what our lives would be like if we'd stayed friends.
But I never suspected that we'd grow so far apart.
I once believed that we were going to be friends for eternity.
But now I've realize that everything happens for a reason.
If I could turn back time, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
I would go back to where we were closer then ever.
I never thought I'd see the day me and them could walk past one another
without acknowledging the others presence.
But I might have to face the fact that we've moved on from each other.
I can't help but wish that we might speak again someday.
But I can only dream for that day to come.
I won't sit around and dwell on the past.
But I might focus on moving along with my life.
I used to know someone that meant the world to me.
But now I look at them and smile at the memory.

Cyan Latrice Poem
Should I stay or should I leave?
I'm tired of being treated like a disease.
No one will ever know what I go through.
The one I want has no clue.
I'm sorry, okay?
I thought you'd at least try to make me stay.
Nothing's left for me here.
My only option left is to disappear.
Frozen in the freshly cut window pane.
If quiet, I can hear the moving train.
My dreams,
once as bright as the sun shining on my skin,
Have been knocked down repeatedly like a bowling pin.
Taking one last look at this dreadful place,
I turn and leave without a trace.

Cyan Latrice Poem
I'll remember you
Every time you made me laugh
Even the bad times
Stories will be told of us
You hold a place in my heart

Cyan Latrice Poem
The waves flow past me.
Water enters through my nose.
No more struggling.
My last memory is you.
Pulse hits zero. I am free.

Cyan Latrice Poem
Thinking about you non-stop.
My mind runs faster than a clock.
Just one look, my heart begins to flutter.
Running so fast, I'm left with a clutter.
Unable to say a word.
I send my love wrapped around a bird.
Soon, life will get in the way.
But, I'll always think of you at the end of the day.
Your voice, the voicemail on my phone.
Will bring delightful memories when you're gone.
