A Lost Soldier

He wrapped his arms around me
Never wanting to let go
I gently whispered in his ear
Daddy, when you coming home?

He said I'm off to battle today
To heal the wounded soldiers cries.
I don't know when or if I'll be back
The tears began to flood my eyes.

As father walked away
His smile, it did gleam.
His final words to me
Became but a nightmare within a dream.

The bomb rang out
Through the desert air.
When the dust did settle
They found father there.

The soldiers stood at attention
They saluted their brother goodbye,
And the eagle spread its wings
As a true American soldier, had died.

You'Re Not Alone

Your heart is in shambles
You cry, but still can't shake the pain
But I am in a better place now
For, I had so much more to gain.

As I entered the pearly gates of heaven
And walk the streets of gold
I am now with our savior
And I know my story has been told.

I am watching over you, Granddaughter
No more suffering for me
My heart is with you all
And my soul has been set free.

Our memories will last forever
Now don't you fret nor' cry
Again, someday we will be hand in hand
Then together we will fly.

Who Holds the Key To My Heart

You want to know
If my love is real
Then let me tell you
How my heart really feels.

You are my life
My hearts desire
With your love
I could walk through a blazing fire.

You are my light
When the sun isn't shining
The air I breathe
Everything worth finding.

Nothing can compare to
The way I feel for you
Through mine eyes
You proved your love is true.

You have a heart of gold
And a love that is pure
Forever we'll last
This I know for sure.

Some time ago
A question was asked
Would the key be found
To a love that would last.

The trunk has now been opened
We'll never drift apart
The question's been answered of
"Who Holds The Key To My Heart."

My Last Letter

Today I walk with our savior
My journey on earth now ends
No more suffering or pain
As a new chapter now begins.

As I entered the pearly gates of heaven
And walk the streets of gold
In your hearts I live vicariously
As I know my story will not go untold.

Now don't you fret nor cry my loves
Though with loss there's always pain
Today we celebrate
As I learn there's much more to gain.

I am now our Lord's perfectionist
I build with all his grace
And on the seventh day
We'll worship, then watch the Nascar race.

Now in closing, my final words
I doth do say
To all my family and friends
I love you all, and will watch over you every single day.

My Childhood Dream

For nine years we lived in a living hell
It was later than sooner he arrived in a cell
We wanted to run and hide from this man
We knew if we did, A gun, he would have in his hand.

The beatings we took nothing could compare
But no one done nothing, just stood there and stared
The blood would trickle down my mothers face
Lie she would do, So there wasn't even a trace.

The deer buckle of a belt across my face
Still she done nothing, to stay in his good grace
I prayed to the heavens, the Lord up above
To give me wings so I could fly away like a dove.

The prayer it did work, the man, he was gone
Still nightmares progress form dusk til' dawn
I realize one thing when the sun does gleam
Getting away alive, That was My Childhood Dream.

A Little Prayer To the Lord Whom Is Watching Over Us

Yes, he died on the cross
For you and for me
Still he preached his word
Through all the pain and agony.

From the nails that were driven
Into his skin
People still taunted him
As his world was going dim.

Then there was a boom
And lightning filled the sky
Everyone had panicked
As the Messiah was left to die.

They then buried him in a tomb
With guards on the outside
Little did they know
That our kings spirit, was very much alive.

When they opened the tomb
They couldn't believe what they saw
One by one
The looked in awe.

Jesus the king
Had risen again
Gone to the heavens
Watching over our sins.

So when I am down
I know who to trust
I say a little prayer to my lord
Whom is watching over us.
