Tomas Makau Poem
BETRAYAL
Thought I was a friend,
Trusted you to a dead end,
Clung to you with much ease,
Like a hunting ghost would not cease,
I saw the moon brighter,
More to omen am a less fighter,
Didn’t know a war was intact,
Didn’t know it was all a freak act,
You waited to “unflesh” my bones,
Like a vulture you circled me patiently
Then you attacked mightily like thunder,
And sucked until you felt me shudder,
A betrayer conquerors triumph was all I could think of, as I closed my eyes.

Tomas Makau Poem
Happy ages long gone,.
Left me weak to the bone..
New hypes barely borne..
To boredom we were sworn..
How i cherish old days long gone.

Tomas Makau Poem
VIBRANT
Am I not strong to fly with falcons?
Am I too weak not to prey with my talons?
Then why keep me waiting
Whilst my patience is tugging,
Break the shackle and get me a pen,
To shake what others failed when I was in den,

Tomas Makau Poem
Nothing i say, draws me away,
Deep in my mind, am always astray,
Nothing she wants, stays off her way,
In her web i was caught, can't get away,
Help to thee i ask, humbly i pray,
Help me get away, to her talons am a lost prey.

Tomas Makau Poem
DREAM
You live slyly, yet so clear,
Deep in me, yet so near,
You push and press, till I can’t bear,
I ignore and play dumb, hoping you will wear,
But tag, you follow, that you swear.
You pinch and itch till am low,
Deep I feel, your roaring flow,
You jab I sway, by your blow,
I run to hide, from you bright glow,
But strong and stubborn you are, I should know,
Never at all shall you let me go.

Tomas Makau Poem
FADING FAME
A gaze fixed, on a sinking sun,
A breeze so chill, soothed my back,
Another dead day, still hoping,
Maybe the next, they will notice,
A dancing flame, still burns,
A dying fame, everything but fun,
Kicked a stone, sat on a rock,
Felt so lone, once I did rock,
Felt numb, sad, no, just dumb,
A lazy stroll, lead me to tomb’s,
They still like me, means free booze,
But the loud music, did little to soothe,
Recent blows, to my weeping heart,
A bottle on my hand, luck jumped off the other,
Despair in my mind, I seeped in the dark,
Staggers, curses, I felt my world reel,
Tripping, rolling, felt like I was in a wheel,
Then a sudden stop,
Felt my eyes close, slowly I drifted,
Sure on the next, the will notice.
