The Love I Look For

He has the love that I
No longer have to look for
The love that he gives me
And cares a whole lot more
For me and my feelings
My thoughts and my dreams
And don’t try and ruin them
With his crazy love beams
He supports me for whatever
I may just decide to do
And he will always tell me
That he will be all true
I see the love that shines
From his heart to his soul
And to tell you the truth
He’s all I want to know
I want to get to know him
And see the rest of his love
So I can be his angel
That comes from up above.

Since You Came My Way

Seems to me like my days got brighter
Seems to me like the tears fall lesser
Seems to me like my heart beats faster
	Since you came my way
Seems to me like my mind wants you
Seems to me like your words are true
Seems to me like my heart needs you too
	Since you came my way
Seems to me like you’ve made me right
Seems to me like I’m in the light
Seems to me like you’re there through the night
	Since you came my way
Seems to me like you were there all along
Seems to me like you’re part of my song
Seems to me like I searched way too long
	Since you came my way

(Based on the format of the poem “Sence You Went Away” by James Weldon
Johnson)

Arguments

I can not stand this
Screaming outside my door
The screaming and yelling
I try to ignore.
It keeps getting louder
As more screams appear
One right after another
It seems so hard to bear.
It makes me want to cry
But I try to stay strong
But they need to stop
Their fights last way to long.
It never seems to help
To try and cover my ears
The screaming keeps getting closer
I can hear them very clear.
Cursing and swearing
Is every other word
They need to stop and realize
Who this really hurts.
Whose ears are being covered
Whose eyes are being filled
Whose heart is being torn in half
It feels like being killed.
We were one happy family
Until the money tore us apart
The saddest of the moments
Is once again my brother departs.
Leaving us four again
The way it use to be
Leaving more empty spaces
Deep inside of me.

The Three Words

If I had one wish
That would have to come true
It would be on Christmas day
I can touch and hold you
To look in your eyes
And tell you how I feel
But since I can’t see you
I guess I’ll have to deal
I’ll tell you in this poem
What you mean to me
You made my heart fly
You made my soul fly free
But when I say it
I say it being true
The three words that say it all
Those three words say “I love you.”

Nights

I look for him in the morning light
I see his face once it gets bright
I see his eyes
Staring into mine
I lean up to kiss him
As the clock strikes nine
I tell him don’t worry
There are many more nights
To come and go
Throughout our lives
I’ll be there in the evening
Later in the night
I’ll meet him in the same room
In which we cuddled till sunlight.

Thoughts of the Past

This thought in my head
Won't get out
The thought of the past
That always let me down
The past that always
Made me cry
Crushed my heart
I thought I died
But now I have
New past thoughts
The one with Jordan
When he had caught
My heart and soul
My mind and attention
Now the other past thoughts
Are in hell and unmentioned

Life Long Father

You’re the best father
I have ever had
You’ve always been there
Through the good and the bad
You have been my dad
For eleven years
Through the smiles and laughs
The frowns and the tears
No matter what
I will always consider
Nobody else but you
To be my life long father

Heart Break

I feel like just being
Curled up into my ball
Thinking about everything
Leaving nothing at all
My heart has been broken
Oh so many times
Not only by the guys I’ve know
But by my family in lines
First comes my brother
Leaving for the first time
Getting his own place
Not having a spare dime
Next comes my sister
Who I miss the most
Is out on her own
And eating nothing but toast
No, not really!
That’s just an expression
She’s doing well
But it hurts when she’s mentioned
Then my brother comes again
And breaks my heart in two
But Jordan you will always be there
And fill it back with you
Every time my heart may break
You’re there to make it true
Filling it with faith and love
And loving me like I love you!

The Best That He Can Be

He's the only one
That's made me feel this way
Deep inside my heart
I'll never run away
I want to be with him
And stand by his side
From the first day we met
Until the day that I die
I love him to death
And he treats me right
He makes me feel comfortable
All through the night
He's there to trust and hold
To comfort and protect
No matter what the cause may be
He'll always have my back
And I'll have his back too
And be there when he needs me
When its night or day
He's the best that he can be.
