Carol Hovey Poem
I Am
By Carol Wright Hovey
I am from the memories of my mind
Memories that shaped the real me to be
The me, who’s wise, aware and a gentle kind,
The inner me grownup molded to really see.
I am of people who shared my life space
A space of early wisdom and ole lady charm
My space now filled with who what where and grace
Learned experiences and a ‘new view’ of a greater sum
I am the cushion of love, the window of clarity and the floor of strength
I am the vessel of my Creator’s own personal craft
I am the composite girth of family, friends and foes - hence
I am the best of my present, my future and of time past.
I am the sum of all that shaped the “who of me”!
I Am!

Carol Hovey Poem
What Is This?
His laughter is full
His eyes penetrate
His heart is warm
His arms are strong
His walk is quick
His love is deep
His kiss speaks
His sincerity warms
My eyes long for him
Our hands oblige hands
Must feel his strength
Yet sense his weakness
Miles are too many
Still the desire is so near
This is Love
