Heartbreak On the Horizon

How I'd like to make it last
Instead of a memory of the past
I cannot disavow
That im happy in the now
The flesh begins to manipulate
Sadly knowing of an expiration date
The more I'm here the more I wizen
With you heartbreak is on the horizon

Strength From Within

This morning I watched the sun rise
As I conquered my fears and overcome my demise
A beautiful sight
Showed me in darkness there is light
Cold rain spots my skin
Knowing strength comes from within

Rough Draft

We are not in the same
Both of us so good at the game
I told you from the get go
Now you don't wanna let go
You didn't take the clue
Infatuated with something new
All the cards said it was wrong
We didn't listen we still went along
Love doesn't have eyes
To make excuses for the lies
All I feel is lust
Miscommunication and lack of trust

In the Dark

Standing with my own company
The moon illuminates above
Pain and sorrow
With no hope for tomorrow
Searching for stability
Some things are beyond my ability
Oprhaned by society
Im loosing my sobriety
Never will I loose hope
Just learning to cope
People change like night and day
Now days I dont have much to say
Can you feel my pain
Do you think im sane
Some things aren't what they seem
Silly ideas they said its just a dream

No Longer Mine

To leave was a decision you made
Words cut deeper than any blade
Was it love or obsession
We're you mine or a temporary possession
Time spent over the year
I Was young so cavalier
I guess it's all in line
So sad your no longer mine

I Never Give Up

Looking where im at now
I sit back and think how
I remember I was a sun in december
Before I knew It I slowed to an ember
I let the coldness envelope my being
I lost my eyesight I was prevented from seeing
I gave low lifes the best of me
And my habits the rest of me
I've sunk to the lowest low
And to this day I have nothing to show
Even if everyone where to split
My motto is I never quit

The Lone Oak

The Lone Oak
Has finally awoke
Alone in an empty field
Tucked away I grow concealed
The Lone Oak
Immune from fire and smoke
With all it's might
It grows to the light
The Lone Oak
Winds wont leave a branch broke
A strong foundation
Supports his escalation
The Lone Oak
The leaves act as a cloak
Silver skin
And a golden heart within
The Lone Oak

Can'T Say Goodbye

What a wonderful way to fall
Knowing there's only one to call
One day i will my fulfill my role
Trying to fill in a deep dark hole
I fear that the end is near
To conquer the fear
All that i wanted to be
They say the best things in life are free
Left with nothing to say
I can't say goodbye to yesterday

Im Rich

My palms itch
Im finally rich
Don't ask why
Im heading for Thai
Tall structures and clouds high in the sky
This life was once concealed
Now the view overlooking the rice feilds
The people are nice
The food filled with spice
Life is sweet
And never sour
My dreams fulfilled in a couple hours

The Self

In the light it cannot hide
Separation from self on the inside
Filled with a fiery persistence
Recognizing myself in nonexistence
The path is thin and distinct
Right and wrong are long extinct
Following the world's credo
Only develops a growing ego
