Night Time Thoughts

Darkness fallen, the sky shines,
Stars twinkle and dance
Floating silently along the milky way in twisty lines
Scattered around, millions to see
Stardust tossed on a black canvas
Painted, a beautiful breathtaking picture
A soft, calming power it holds
Losing every worry among diamonds
Getting lost in the sea, swimming in a daze
The world is quiet, peaceful at this time
No noise or fighting, just soft breathing of innocents.
But all too soon it starts to leave
The sky begins to light; the break of dawn kills all beauty
Dead of night is drifting away
Pain fills the world once again
The fighting begins once more
It’s just a circle, constantly moving.
Day and night in a constant battle
Light; constant, never enough
Dark; slow, peaceful and safe
La nuit prend lentement le monde…

Untitled

Your eyes are like the ocean
Shining, crystal blue;
Waves forever crashing in slow motion
Drowning memories you can never undo
Light up a cigarette and breathe in nostalgia
Taste the smoke on your tongue on the inside of my cheek
Exhale your name in a breath of insomnia
Days become nightmares, I dare not speak.
Finding peace in alcoholic drink,
Laying on Egyptian cotton;
Mind shuts off no need to think,
Heart is gone and liver is rotten.
Pop all the pills
And go on vacation
Ride through black hills
And lose yourself in intoxication.

Free In the Shadows

I Wish To Hide, To Disappear,
In The Shadows That I Fear
‘Tis The Only Place I Can Be,
Hurting No One But Me.

Rivers Of Blood,
Banks Of Muck And Mud,
Broken Hearts And Severed Scars,
Can’t Escape These Prison Bars.

It’s A Small, Dark Place,
Stuck In This Place.
Will I; Can I Be Found
A Whisper, A Voice, By Any Sound.

My Cries Gone Silent,
My Eyes Becoming Violent.
Darkness Surrounding Now,
Light, It Won’t Allow.

My Mind, My Fears Consume,
Death Begins To Bloom.
Black And Red,
World Starts To Mend
Chaos Raging, “LET ME OUT!”

Erase All Lies, No More Doubt.
I’m Free, I’m Gone.
In This Life, I’m Far From Done.

Days

The Days Are Dark
We Walk And Walk And Leave Our Mark;
The Days Are Cold
But The Truth Will Soon Unfold.

Night And Day We Wonder
Just Listening To The Thunder;
Wondering Who We Are
While Watching From Afar.

As The Days Go By
We Ask Ourselves, "Why?"
Following The Rules When We Could Be Free...
I Just Want To Be Me.

The Change In Days Are Coming
I Can Hear The Drummers Drumming;
The Sunrise Has Begun
The New Day Is Sweet And Young.

Her Plea

Listen...
Do You Hear That Sound? The Sound Of One Girl Pleading, Within An Endless Crowd.
She Begs Of You To Listen...
Yet, Her Words Don't Seem To Matter Her Voice Being Drowned Out By All The Wicked Clatter.
She Tries To Move Closer...
Trying To Reach Out Yet, She Is Held Firmly In Place, By The Chains Of All Your Doubt.
She Tugs And Pulls, Trying To Get Free
The Bands Cutting Into Her Skin Making Blood Flow To Her Feet Though No Matter How Much She Tries The Bonds Still Hold Her Fast. As She Watches You Listen To All those Around Her Believing Their Lies To Her Facts Falling To Her Knees, She Silently Begins To Cry; Her Words Alone Not Enough To Matter As They Are Swallowed Up By All The Lies.
