Jewels Denyle Poem
A blackened soul stays so cold. Is there warmth?
She needs closure.
A life she once knew was so cold.
She looked within herself to find saving grace, a safe place.
She found something as warm as the Son.
Her soul is set free. Now she is warm.
She stays put in silence, now confused in the light she has longed for.
A new dimension approaches. She has finally broken the silence.
She wants to be heard! She wants to be heard!
Through everlasting eternity where she can be so free.
Her soul is now as a bird.

Jewels Denyle Poem
As I tell myself to hold on, I listen for the whistle in the wind to give me the go.
I take the chance to excel in life, in [this] life.
I feel as lost as an infant crying for its mother.
As I look up I see all the trees shaking. Mother Earth has captured me.
Finally, a breakthrough!
I see light at the end of the darkest tunnel.
Now I know now that I have a purpose.
I must keep going! I can’t stop now!
This is my chance.

Jewels Denyle Poem
Oh, Starlight, star bright.
Will we make love upon a shooting star tonight?
His body so fierce, so intimidating that it burns my body’s core.
Temptation is arising.
I have to make him mine.
Is it bad that I never made love?
I believe the depths of my soul have forgotten how to love.

Jewels Denyle Poem
The sky’s clouds reveal themselves as angels to me.
The trees shake as the fall wind blows.
A powerful force shines down from up above.
A voice whispers. Perhaps it’s an angel.
She says, “You can do this, my sweet Baby”.
My journey is growing. I am growing strong.
I am serving the correct purpose.
And found my reason for being here on this earth.
With gratitude.

Jewels Denyle Poem
As I get behind myself I must rewind myself.
I can’t go too fast. Yet, not too slow.
There are many things to be achieved in this life. I must grasp them.
So many things are out of my reach.
Motivation keeps me going.
I must not give in to the temptations of my mind telling me that I can’t do it.
I can.
I will.
And not stop! There’s no stopping here.
I have to keep going.

Jewels Denyle Poem
I am now free.
I have loosed the chains from me.
I leap on the lessons of my old life.
I now have morals that I can trust in this new life.
This question remains: “Why am I here?”
Do I have so much that others fear?
It sickens me like polluted air I breathe.
I constantly want to leave. To run. To hide.
Perhaps get away. Just to survive.

Jewels Denyle Poem
A crimson tide is coming,
forcing me to fly.
I put my wings in motion,
this world is mine.
From the deep waters of the sea
to the skies over mountains.
I look across the water.
The lovely solace of every grain of sand,
brings me to a life altering land.

Jewels Denyle Poem
I’ve been going through some things. The world has often changed.
I feel like I have too many burdens to be lifted.
Will I ever be free from myself? I constantly exhale, in awe.
When will the struggle be over?
My child, your day is coming! You have hoodzpah.

Jewels Denyle Poem
I’m getting one day older and one step closer.
I feel at times my life is coming to an end.
I can’t catch up with the world. Everything seems so fast and temporary.
I long to belong. Why am I not being accepted?
I give my all. But still, the world eats me up and spits me out.
Like a ran over carcass, left on the side of the road to rot and decay with time.

Jewels Denyle Poem
She covers her lips with red lipstick. Then the gloss.
Jewels covers her face.
She feels the only pride she has left is the jewels she wears.
Treasures inherited from her loving mother.
A wealthy woman.
A man offers to take me out. I decline.
He pauses in awe, words escaped him.
I am a lady. How dare you! My heart is full of love.
You treat me like a common street walker.
Yes, I shine like glitter and gold.
My worth is priceless. No one could afford.
This is me. It’s who I am. I love through life. Good. Bad.
