Lover's Lane

LOVER’S LANE

Tickets to ride, Convertible
Top down for the full view
Cool is the breeze, happily we
Lovers ride for daze endlessly
Smooth sailing pass on victory
Conversed of plans in fulfilling
Related by beats of hearts sustaining
This feat is performed with no hands
On wheels as steps are swept…..emotion
As exhausts from arrival, fuel amore
Off into the sunset we blaze, the road
Until paths bend, or we lose the quest
Fires of Lust extinguish, lover’s language
Broke Down and discarded, steaming
Hoping to hitch a ride up Lover’s Lane again!

Inhale Storm

Suck ups, breathe deep
Unfortunate clamor for relief
Old folks kept for long term storage
Wild masses forage for papers for toilets
Gas lit, lungs fit, COVID-19 bereft, lottery hits
Benefits still don’t pass, til Easter passover
Coming to an heir near you, sky clear views left out
Smokey runs the gamit, to deliver perishables
While schools are closed, only open for lunchables
Computer driven bandwidth in free wi-fi for takeout
Stakeout in lines for goods, probably already overpriced
Cartoon character shows orange cats, Garfield runs for president
So no one is home as we all get evicted, on the way too work
Too sick to pay for tests or ventilators to relieve the depression
I still cough up in distrust for authorities telling me what statistics say
Like as if I can trust in stimulus paper held up in a house of senators
So tired of tik tok dances and quarantine dance parties, we need recovery
So I truly pray for the sick and scared to one day soon,
 Oh Lord I pray….

That one day soon we will all be blessed with appreciation 2b able to breathe easy!

AMEN

Turnt

Percolating, who we, I’m just relating
Relaying the conveying of alarming apex
Son’s getting hotter, sending flares, scorching heirs
The roof is on fire, but folks serving gas in meme
Unleaded or maybe I’m just fed up in believing the lies
Telling me mines don’t matter, from cats living fatter
Digging deeper than the greeting of slaps of five
Laid down a line, reverberating sublime, wind chimes
Chasing dog-gone familiars to frailty in comforting confines
Same ole, same old, just ain’t that old, as far as we go
No more, I know more, looking at a latch off unlocked doors
Mirrors from ceiling to floors, stylishly prefaced or just pre-fab
Looking glass, shatters from just one blinking, 2b thinking in turn
Thoughts never random, so I hand them pieces of rind to define
Seasoned for taste, or just aroma, smelling like wake up all baked up
Reeling off feelings, fleeting yesterdays, recalled to question or lesson
All in the daze, our revolution could never just be a faze, even nowadays
So watch out and peep the come around in what’s happening again…..
