Unexpected Angel

Many tears have been shed for what no longer is.
The heart that lost all hope was left for the scavengers…
Scavengers that would physically take advantage of him,
But with his verbal consent.

His heart was dying… with nobody to heal it.
Many women had the chance to have him,
But something would keep him away from the true threats.
Some may say fate, while others would say God… But I say thank you.

Thank you for saving me from countless destructive paths.
Thank you for keeping me slightly sane.
Thank you for giving me exactly what I needed.
Thank you for showing her to me.

Her name eluded me for a time period,
But now rings out like that of an angel’s.
She came and put her arm around me…
Wiped my face clean of tears.

She gives me love like no other,
Even though I don’t see why.
She makes me believe her heart is mine,
While in reality, my heart is hers.

She will never admit what she truly deserves,
Only desire the happiness for whom she loves.
Always ready to sacrifice her heart for his…
While all he wants is her heart.

The passage of time makes their future uncertain.
Will they be walking down an isle together
Or just in a park as friends?
Will they share a bed in love or in playful fun?

None of this is yet known…
Both have their desires, hopes and dreams
But with all of this, one thing is certain.
Teddie, I love you always and forever you will be with me.

The Loss of a Farmer of Man

The rivers of life are most dear to those with young.
These rivers supply life, ensuring the survival of what is most precious.
It is when the river runs dry; the last drops of liquid are tears...
Tears of all that is lost.

The fertile soil soon dries and becomes barren.
The efforts of man are unable to save the farm.
This farmer... a farmer for man... lost what is most dear.
His vision for the future has died.

The farm itself screams in pain as the river flows away.
Her life is leaving and she is unable to save what grows beneath.
What is most dear to the farm is dying.
Her life, everything she wanted... now stripped from her.

Such farms all have a gate that closes them to the rest of the world.
As the farmer stands staring at the sign above the farm... remembering that night.
He came from no where with no reason... stabbing his wife in her stomach and
heart.
His memory, while staring at the sign..."Here lies both a loving wife and future
mother."

Beyond the Grave

Sitting alone, I think of how to best say what is in my heart.
My eyes water as I remember the past year.
Many metaphors pass through my mind and heart,
Trying to describe what I feel.

I do not understand how it is possible to feel this way after so long.
I have grown in many ways and changed in ways you've never seen,
Yet though everything one thing as truly remained...
What I feel for you.

I have cried many hours, and felt misery for countless breaths.
Every good deed I have done, it was only to hide from my hurt.
I do not understand what it is or why this has happened, but it has.
No matter what I do, I can't stop loving you Laura... even in death.

Green Mist of Light

In the darkness, where tears of silence fall,
A heart of confusion searches for meaning.
Existence is pointless without purpose.
A purpose does not exist once a soul looses recognition.
I know who I am… I am a defender,
A warrior ready to give my dying breath for a complete stranger.
I know who I am… But knowledge is nothing when you act through memory past.
I know who I am and I help so many, but is it real?
Do my actions really show my purpose?
Why do I ask such questions?
Simple… My soul can no longer see itself.
In the darkness, where I have cried many tears I found it.
In the green mist something happened… Something I’ll never forget.
When I looked into the beautiful mist, my soul saw itself.
I don’t understand how it happened, but there it did.
In the dark, deep within the mist… I found myself.

Crying Heart

When the heart cries a simple tear,
The body weeps like a gentle rain.
When the heart cries many tears,
The body can barely sustain.
But when the heart cries of love lost,
The body is just emotion and the heart is a forgotten kiss.

Eternal Star

Cool breeze in the summer air
Rustled the leaves of the trees.
We walked in the woods
Talking like every other night,
But this was a special night.

Pulling her close to keep her warm,
We walked to our special place...
A place surrounded by trees that sang
And diamonds that gleamed from the heavens.
A place that will forever live in my heart.

In the ring of trees and before the diamonds above,
I dropped to a knee, while holding her hand
And before her eyes... I held out to her a star.
Tears fell from her eyes as she brought her lips to mine.
A kiss so perfect it will last forever... like lovers' last kiss.

Holding hands, we were dashing though the woods,
Excited to get home and share our joy with our families.
Through the woods and down the embankment,
I tripped and lost her hand...
She tripped and a car stole her life.

My Rose

This life I live… can it be called a life?
I spend hours helping others…
Giving my very soul to comfort them.
I have taken on tasks only a mad man would dare,
Yet at the end of the day… I’m alone.
Forever feeling like this… Dead yet breathing.
I live for others… Yet I die everyday.
I pray to die, so I can be free.
Free… the thought of it seems so unreal.
I ask for little, but what I ask is always too much.
I want to fly, but I only deserve to be grounded,
I want to run, but I can never loose my chains.
I want… it does’t matter… I don’t deserve it.
Though I don’t deserve this, I ask for one request of mercy.
Nobody come to see me when I am gone… Just lay out a single rose.
A rose of black and red…
Black to show the hate in me and red for love.
Remember me for who I truly was… Not for what you believed.
