The Truth About Religion

"The Truth About Religion"
© 2012 Michelle Lynn LeBlanc

Religion gives meaning and purpose in this life
Without it, most people don't know what to do

For they simply need something to believe in
So they will have the strength to get them through

But the truth is, religions are man-made
And most followers don't see its pagan origins

Its really hard to present this truth to them
When their identity is so caught up in their charism

So what do followers generally do
When they are confronted with this harsh truth?

Often many will blindly ignore the facts
Or simply refuse to look at the proof

Sadly, most religious people simply follow
They don’t see the holes in what they believe

And if they do, they often ignore it
Because 'questioning' mean they are being deceived

So why is 'questioning' shunned by the church?
For if 'truth' is truth, then what is there to hide?

For the more one researches and studies
The harder it would be for the truth to be denied

So if you are one who desires truth in this life
Please don't be afraid to go deeper in your search

For studying ancient history and pagan mythology
Will set you free from 'fear-based' beliefs of the church!

A Great Big Hug

"A Great Big Hug"
© 2005 Michelle Lynn LeBlanc

It’s amazing what A Great Big Hug can do
It melts the ones who have hardened their hearts
And gives them strength to press on through

It makes one feel so loved and clean inside
Washing away the dirt and shame
Putting life back into their eyes

It can fill deep longings to be treasured & embraced
Break up many suppressed emotions
And put a smile back on their face

It can even fill gaps that were left throughout life
With a sense of love and acceptance
Simply by embracing one whose heart is right

A Great Big Hug helps those unstable feel more secure
That someone just may understand them
And has a love that is truly pure

A Great Big Hug brings peace to the weary soul
Calms the storms that rage inside
And leads many out of a dark, lonely hole

It’s amazing what such an act of love can do
Especially if one hasn’t been embraced
Their whole life through

Yes, it’s amazing what A Great Big Hug can do
When extended with love and compassion
That comes through vessels like you!

My Sweetheart, My Love

"My Sweetheart, My Love"
© 2016 by:Michelle Lynn LeBlanc

My sweetheart, my love,
My confidant and best friend
I am so happy to have you in my life
Having such a love that never ends

I know we have had our bumps in the road
Especially these past seven months
But I am so proud of the progress we've made
Even when we were in such a crunch

The fact that you continue to try
Means more than words can say
Even when I often bring issues up
And it kinda wrecks the day

I know sometimes I focus too much
On all the things that we need to fix
But I know as we press through our issues
We will resolve even these conflicts

I know I'm not always easy to deal with
Being over-sensitive and all
And I know you often feel powerless
When you come up against my walls

But I want you to know that I'm trying too
And that I love you, oh, so much
You are my knight in shining armour
The one who melts my heart with touch

You are the star that brightens my night
The sun that comforts my pain
You have given me a reason to believe
That real love is there to gain

I respect you and honour you my husband
You are forever my dearest friend
May we never lose sight of this love we share
For it's the one thing that will never end!

"More to This Life"
© 2012 Michelle Lynn LeBlanc

I want to help the those who are searching rise up and believe
That there's more to this life than what they can't see

There's so much focus to live for what's beyond
Let's live for the now, in case we've been conned

We don't need a God to have morals in this life
That's just a myth that fuels division and strife

Maybe there's an afterlife; that could be true
But what if there isn't...in this life, what`d we do?

Let's make this life count, no matter what
Holding to the positive things religion has taught

Love. Do good to those who have hurt us and forgive
Promote peace and kindness as reasons to live

Giving of ourselves, hoping for nothing in return
These are the kinds of things we should aspire to learn

To be an inspiration or to show unconditional love
Are moral values in many of us; it`s not simply from above

Having meaning & purpose in life can still exist
Just open up your mind and fight the thoughts that resist

Look within yourself and find the strength you need
It is there, my friend; just try it and you'll see

Don't be blinded by the views of religion
You can still have peace & joy, but it's your decision

Surround yourself with those who are positive and kind
And the same presence of love & peace will reside in your mind

Time to break the chains that keep you bound
Yes, its time to hear them making a rattling sound

So shake off the guilt! Break free from religious pride
Look with new perspective and see the beauty inside!

Life is Amazing!

Coming Out - From Being a Christian

"Coming Out" (From Being a Christian)
© 2015 Michelle Lynn LeBlanc

Coming Out
Being me
Not always easy
Yet feeling free

Coming Out
Perhaps misunderstood
But that's ok
The process is good

Coming out
Hard to do
Being authentic
Is being true

Coming Out
Four years gone by
My friends now know
My reasons why

Coming Out
Being true
Yet, I'm still me
Like you're still you

Yes, Coming Out
I want to be me
Will you still accept
Who I've come to be??

Meditation Time

"Meditation Time"
© 2015 Michelle Lynn LeBlanc

Beauty inside
Nothing to hide

Let it go
Let it be so

No more stress
Let it all out

Focus on your breath
Let peace flow out

Presence of love
Not from above

Inside of me
So let it be

Gentleness like rain
Relaxing my brain

Freedom from pain
Everything to gain

Meditation is free
For you and for me

Nothing to stress
Just being our best

Let it flow
Let it go

Presence divine
Nothing to mind

Love to all
Love is free

Be yourself
Let me be me!

Throughout Our Marriage

“Throughout Our Marriage“
© 2004 Michelle Lynn LeBlanc

All throughout our years of marriage
I’ve only fallen in love all over and over again
Yes, my love for you has only, but grown
Deeper that it’s ever been

I’m just so happy that you were the one
That I choose to have in my life
For your sincere, caring heart and love for me
Have made me so glad to be called your wife

Our marriage is like a chest of treasures
With new jewels and stones to see
As soon as you think you’ve seen all there is
There’s another surprise you can’t believe

Our love is like the pure white snow
That gently falls down from the skies
So pure and soft and beautiful
One can only be dazzled with their eyes

Thank you, Honey, for being so strong
In the days when I’ve been so weak
With wisdom and strength, you’ve often reached out
When I was broken and unwise in speech

I have grown to trust you, Sweetheart,
More than anyone I’ve ever known
And as the years go by Throughout Our Marriage
You will only reap the things you’ve sown!

What You Tell Me

“What You Tell Me ”
© 2003 Michelle Lynn LeBlanc

You tell me that I’m beautiful
You tell me you love me so
You tell me I need to trust you
In order for me to grow

You tell me I need to open
You tell me I need people's love
You tell me that I’m precious
And that I'm one you're proud of

Yet, I tell you ,“inside I’m ugly”
I tell you “love really means pain”
I tell you” it’s hard to trust you
Because how others said words in vain”

I tell you ”I need these walls”
I tell you ” I can’t handle people's love”
I tell you, “I’m just too broken
When their push comes to shove”

Yet You always draw near to hold me
To tell me I can trust your heart
Even when I run away so far
Your love always leaves its mark!

Learning Is a Process

“Learning is a Process”
© 2015 Michelle Lynn LeBlanc

Learning not to react
Can be a lesson every day
When feelings of rejection
Tend to come our way

Why the defensiveness?
Why the need to be right?
Let's look at the real issues
No need to argue & fight

It's in us to want to defend
Each of our point of views
But when it gets nasty or hurtful
That's a path we should refuse!

Our beliefs can makes us loving
Or they can makes us unkind
Depending on who we are
And what we feed our minds

Let's choose to offer kindness
Although its often hard
When people say unkind things
And falsely judge who we are

You see, learning is a process
Each and every day
And this life is a journey
Of learning what to say!

Standing On the Outside

"Standing on the Outside"
© 2003 Michelle Lynn LeBlanc

Standing on the Outside
As so many just enter in
Do you struggle to yield your heart
Afraid of failing once again?

Sometime the process is slow
Even when we want to open our hearts
Don’t be too hard on yourself
As you struggle toward the mark

Yes, decisions must be made
And steps need to be taken
But don’t forget in the journey
The process that you’re making

People may look on the outside
But you need to look at your heart
So take it in stride day by day
Even when you feel you’re falling apart
