Too Late

It was too late for love
And too soon for me
I lost yesterday
Am I wiser today

Life's lies are beguiling
Why follow along
I just found peace in me
It's about time to hold on

Once I ran to him
A few times glided past
And tomorrow I'll hold him
How long will we last

Our love served us havoc
Yet bestowed on us luck
Now
My love is strong, solid, and free
Moving too slowly for the eye to see

Love Hold

Hold me high and hold me low
Hold me how my soul will grow
Empathize because I fall and know

Hold me far and hold me near
Hold we whilst I fight with fear
Whisper caring memoirs in my ear

Hold me for I'm weak yet strong
Hold me as I care not to belong
Don't believe that I imply you're wrong

Hold me gently or act rough
Hold me closer when I say enough
Go forth yonder as I call your bluff

Hold me rain, wind, sleet, sun, snow
Hold me when you can't let go
Infuse me with your fortitude and glow

Hold me far from lion's lair
Hold me inside your nightmare
Love, give me your honesty and I will care!
