A Lover's Ghost

When the words don't come to mind,
And there's nothing left to say,
We're both going through it blind,
I wouldn't have it any other way.

We both wanted to take the chance,
To see where it would go,
But we fell at first glance,
I had no other way to know.

We both needed a change,
If it was ever meant to be,
But you started acting strange,
I didn't know if it was me.

You made it all the worth while,
Just like a story in a book,
I only wanted to see you smile,
And never needed a second look.

But you said there was nothing wrong,
There was nothing left to lose,
Like the lyrics in a song,
You are still the one I choose.

In the end you were always there,
And I thought we'd never part,
But I know you lost your care,
I want to take it from the start.

You can always take me by the hand,
For I am always here,
I would travel any land
Just to have you near.

It feels like I'm lost,
You were the one I loved the most,
I would bring you here at any cost,
But in my mind you're still a ghost.

A New Beginning

Off to a world where the warm winds blow,
Where I will stay for a long while,
And start taking life slow.

A good welcome to the change of pace,
With every new day and every new age,
It's a great destination and no one knows my face.

Living the dream as some might say,
Knowing where I am going,
I will welcome each brand new day.

Losing myself and all the new styles,
Forgetting what was past,
I'll think about the others who won't travel the miles.

There must be a reason for such an intention,
Not caring about the future,
Life will carry on as it has, but without contention.

Come or go as you please or may,
We will only cause great memories,
You will not offend me if you choose not to stay.

The experiences that can and will be shared,
Can you see this new world as I do?
Where the is no sorrow, or any worry to be cared.

But in the life that I promised to surrender,
Friends and foes will live on in peace,
It's because of every one of you that I will remember.

For I am confident in what I have found,
There won't be a single problem,
I'm right here, and it's as good as it sounds.

All That Is Life

Are we to stand without fear,
That eats us up inside,
Continuing to stay clear,
Of the worries we try to hide.

Moving on forward and surpassing all troubles,
While remaining in focus,
Still respecting our struggles,

Remembering the days of glory,
Sometimes start to fade,
It's all written like a story,
But all of the pages have yet to be made.

Spare all of the things of negative sort,
Time is forever forthcoming,
For all that is life, may be far too short.

From a Distance

On a bright distant sun, far, far away,
In between the distance, an emptiness, full of no sound,
A light that has no bounds, alone in the universe,
A writers dream, but more like a victim of curse,

The shadows of doubt, are never out of reach,
Like a lost fable, or a professor who lost their banter to teach,
There will always be the escape, through one of the closed doors,
Oh how we contemplate, which one will provide us more,

A change in the scenery is considered the best choice,
It surrounds us forever, but no one can hear our voice,
Where does it take us, on this unplanned adventure that carries no course,
Could it all be in the stars, or is it from our own man made force?

Breaking Free

Surrounding the days with all the sounds, forgetting all troubles,
While being free from our bounds,

Taking it all in as hours pass by, looking through our souls, and hearing no lies.

Memories of the days that we loved the most, while clouding our thoughts in the times that we boast.

The days of judgment and other thoughts before, are all behind us now, staying negative no more.

Saying and hearing as these thoughts pass through, but remembering the days where it all seemed true.

Life moves faster with age as it must, beyond all the turmoil, and the thoughts that we trust.

But when it comes from the heart, and the dreams that we vision, it only takes a minute to make that decision.

Rainy Day

The sky is gloomy, and the lightning strikes. The thunder crashes, with such a fright.

It's dark and rainy, cold and grey. And the breeze is blowing from every which way.

The hours go by and the storm carries on, I wonder how long before it's all gone.

But the summer is here, and days linger by, a day like this can only heave a sigh.

For its the only way to get some more rest, some of these days are just for the best.

Waiting

I wait and wait for the time to be right,
Where there is no boundary, or any risks to fight.

The sun rises up, and the sun sets down,
and my world keeps spinning around and around.

There must be an answer, or a prayer to say,
For this is what I search for, at the end of the day.

Closer and closer, the solutions come to mind,
where the answer is had, I may just be blind.

But search and prayer, wherever you  roam,
And stay true to yourself through skin and bone.

For if it's something that you love or hate,
The best thoughts can be there, if you just wait.

Feelings

Feelings wander through like the winds from the west,
Finding it difficult to decide whether it's all second guessed,
Through the breezes and dust, we can't help but remain,
Feelings all over the place, trying not to be strained.
For its what keeps us proud, and full of pride,
As we take each day with every moment, every stride,
Knowing that it's all in ourselves,
Taking each thought and dream, and putting them on shelves,
Trusting our visions and looking for truth,
We know where it lies, there's no need to sleuth,
Searching and finding is not the hardest part,
When the answer to be had, is always in your heart.

You Showed Me

Did I know you, a time before
I knew you, even more
You showed me a better place
Opened my eyes, and I saw your face

You showed me your world

Hold my hand, and walk with me
Stay a while, and you will see
Our love will come through
You know me, and I know you

You showed me you cared

The rest of the our lives, is still ahead
Let's take that chance, of what's left unsaid
We'll open our hearts, and forget our fears
Always we'll smile, and no more tears

You showed me how to live

Dreams

In my dreams when I lie at night,
Is when all my worries don't seem so fright,
It's a time of no fears or emotions,
Where all of days thoughts wave through like the ocean,
Times and troubles are well past behind,
It's certain that my conscience is free in my mind,
Looking forward to what is forthcoming,
All the images are moving constant and numbing,
The night passes through, the dreams start to fade,
But I will return to the place to where these visions are made,
For when I wake up to see the sun,
A new day is here to greet us as one,
To fill our hopes and spirits that burst at the seams,
And to bring back all of our unconscious dreams.
