Maria Hilty Poem
The gray clouds roll through the barren sky.
Opening up the portal to an intense world.
A world of chaotic overviews and innocence.
Leading others into a personal mind maze.
Waiting for it to demolish their system.
Emotional instability and wide spread insecurities.
Attach a variety of eclectic people.
Leaving them to walk among others.
But still to gain an understanding of culture.
Not knowing leaves us alone and misunderstood.
Causing conflict in social status.
We ourselves are confusion.
Generating as one in a massive congregation.
Separating ourselves as who we are.
But in the end,
Together as individuals.

Maria Hilty Poem
The haze glistened upon the morning dew,
Birds chirped as if any other day,
The sky hung heavily with curiosity.
An American flag hangs proudly ahead,
Greeting the sun kissed sky.
Without a warning,
Tragedy strikes and lives are taken,
Tears shatter the dampened pavement,
And cries echo loudly amidst the air.
Our country is pure chaos,
Led to betrayal from trust.
Lives are wounded and captured,
And people will remain in dismay.
Remember it always,
Our nation's tribulation,
Forever in our hearts it remains.

Maria Hilty Poem
The thought of frustration is a constant battle,
That is never won, Because of the confusion of your mind.
The fear of closeness, Shows not in my face but in my heart.
For I love you, But you shall not know,
Because expressing that, May cause me to excrete,
The bottled emotions in my mind,
That I have felt for years. To be internally exhausted,
But externally tortured,
Leaving you in a fit of rage,
That only you brought on yourself.
For no one can help the pain in your mind,
Deteriorating into your soul,
And leaving you with a heart,
That has room for only one to be loved.
For if it was I, I would smile the smile,
That you once showed me,
Out of happiness that we are together,
Seeing in your eyes that you know not who I am.
It leaves me upset to see, The agony on your face,
Knowing that the only person that can help, Is you.
