Below the Surface

I was born
Before the tide a'rolled in
And I'll be gone just the same

Yeah I was born
Before the tide a'rolled in
And I'll be gone just the same

Before I go
Let me see where I fit in
Let me see
Before the tide a'rolls in

Let me see where I fit in
Let me see
Before the tide a'rolls in

And lately I begin to see, yeah
More and more now,every day

         Inside, below the surface
         Like stone's we lay
More and more now every day

          Inside, below the surface
          Like stone's we lay
          To late to realize, together
We could have had it made

Ever Done

I stood on the beach face-to-face with the sun
I came to ride a wave just me and the sun
But like everything else I've ever done
I got my feet wet let them dry by the sun
I came to ride a wave but I never rode one
Like everything else I've ever done
I Heard the music playing such a sweet Melody
And the words that followed were written just for me
But like everything else I've ever done
I started singing I was humming along
When I heard those waves crashing I forgot about that song
Like everything else I've ever done
I've held my breath for a better one

Whistle Down the Sea

In a cubicle
 With the computer screen
 And all day,......dream
 I'll find a better way
And all in all,.... I realize
 I'm dreaming,.... My life away
 In a cubicle
 With a computer screen
 And all day,..... dream....

 Even the birds,.... sing
 Sweet melodies
 and the ocean,.... Plays
 Like a symphony
 For the wind
  That Whistles down
 The sea of change

Come on, tell me what you think?
Does anyone really read this stuff?
If so, be as harsh as you want.
Because I know if it's good or not.
Perhaps people don't understand my thinking.

Dream Soaked Towels

When I think of you
Standing there
Out in the rain
When I think of you
Standing there
I remember
Standing there
Out in the rain
When I think of you
Standing there
I remember

I've been down to the corner
Where the right lane ends
And the left lane only brings you
Back again

Faces push
The air around
Dream soaked towels
Cover the ground

When I think of you
Standing there
Out in the rain
When I think of you
Standing there
I remember

One By One

Inside
Toward the back of the room
Alone in the crowd the child cry's
Who?
Who failed who?

One by one will never do
You've got to bring along your brother
If you wanna pass through
