Still Missing My Friend

I miss you sooo much Lisa Wheeler.

Often I wonder what it would have been like
to have you here with me for the rest of my life.
I miss your bright smile and the sound of your voice.
Letting go is so hard, but there's no other choice.

You were such a dear friend,
the best I'll ever have
I know that you loved me
even when I made you mad..

Every girl I would meet
You would give your revue,
they were never good enough
for me, according to you.

Your sons are just great
I hope you can see
they're becoming the men
you wanted them to be.

As for me: my friend is gone
But she gave me her Love to carry on.
So until the day that we met again
I'll be right here waiting and missing my friend

One More Good Day

My Best Friend of 35 years was taken by Lung Cancer 2.5 years ago

One more Good Day

I wish we could've had
just one more good day.
There are so many things
I still need to say.

God brought us together
after all of those years.
I never thought it would end
with all these tears.

I know you're still with me
you just can't be seen.
I feel it when you
smile down on me,
Because it brightens everything.

I can picture you there
in your Heavenly Home.
Your eyes sparkle with excitement
and your pain is all gone.

You're walking on streets of gold
beside the crystal sea.
Side by side with Jesus
You're watching over me.

Healing

Through out our lives
people will come and some will go.
They may only stay
for what seems like a minute.
But in that minute
They have touched our heart
and our life is forever changed.

To often we don't realize
the impact they have had on
our lives until it's too late to tell them
how much they mean to us.

They are too precious
to be taken for granted and
too few to not be appreciated

We are not promised tomorrow
so live each and every day
as if it's your last.
Don't be afraid to feel.
Pain makes us stronger,
Love and Faith keep us safe.

Lisa

For my dear friend Lisa Wheeler. I miss you.

I have no pretty words
that would help to ease your worry.
There's nothing I could say
that would take away your pain.
I can feel your fear and sadness
when I look into your eyes.
I have but only one question
and that is Why Dear God Why.

Lisa I will be here
no matter what you may need.
Rest assured my precious friend
you can always count on me.

I will hold your hand
for as long as you need.
I will stay be your side
Until you tell me to leave.
I will kneel by your bed
and pray while you sleep.
That God will give you the
peace you so desperately need.

I Love You my Friend
much more than you know and
I have no intentions of ever letting you go
You have made your place
in my heart and that's where you'll stay.
I will cherish every memory of you
for the rest of my days.
