All I See

When he was fifty-eight we had some fun,
But ten years later he died so young.
And I stare at the stars and wonder why,
God took the best person in my life.
But up there in Heaven he’s watching me,
And I know this because when I look up he’s all I see.
We went fishing back in eighty-nine,
And I caught a fish onto my line.
He looked down at me and then he said,
“Good job,” and “I love you kid.”
And I stare at the stars and wonder why,
God took the best person in my life.
But up there in Heaven he’s watching me,
And I know this because when I look up he’s all I see.
Well I ate my supper and it was my bedtime,
‘Cause when you’re five who needs a nursery rhyme.
He’d tell me a story every night,
About what he did in his short life.
And I stare at the stars and wonder why,
God took the best person in my life.
But up there in Heaven he’s watching me,
And I know this because when I look up he’s all I see.
Well it was time for him to go as we could see,
As he lied in his bed suffering,
And I thank God for relieving his pain,
I only wish there was another way.

I'Ll Love You More Than Anything?

You say that you are leaving me ,
You say that you’re tired of waiting,
You say now’s not the time to say,
I’ll love you more than anything.

Show me why we cannot be,
Show me why you don’t love me,
Show me why you cannot see,
I’ll love you more than anything.

If I have to climb the tallest tree,
If I have to swim the deep blue sea,
If I have to wait for eternity,
I’ll love you more than anything.

Who’s going to share this sunset,
Who’s going to follow me to bed,
Who’s going to be the one to say,
I’ll love you more than anything.

Up From the Water

Now i've come up from the water,
to follow my father,
where he'll lead me I don't know?
But I know if I stay beside him,
I'll stay away from all sin,
I'll follow wherever he goes.
The path he takes me today,
I shall not stray,
for I know right from wrong.
I'll honor him before my friends,
until the end,
whether my life is short or long.
If you'd like to repent your sins,
and never do them again,
then follow me down to the water.
There you shall be reborn,
in the sight of our Lord,
and then together we'll follow our father.

Unnamed

When he was just a boy
He heard a noise
It was Gods awesome voice.

God called to him
And said Jesus
You will die for all their sins.

God said Boy you’ll see your mother cry
As you die
And you say your final goodbye.

Son don’t be afraid
For it’s the only way
All of the world can be saved.

He opened the eyes of the blind.
He helped the lame walk the line.
Then he cleared the deaf man’s ears,
So the words of the Lord he could hear.
Then he made the dumb speak again.
All these men told the world what he had done for them.
And when they heard he had walked on water,
They said please forgive us father.
For you know that we have sinned.
Then he looked in their eyes and said, “you’ll be forgiven.”

Then he prayed fir the men
That were killing him
He said Father please forgive them.

And as he spoke
I know all their hearts broke
Though they didn’t want it to show.

He opened the eyes of the blind ,
He helped the lame walk the line,
Then he cleared the deaf man’s ears,
So the words of the Lord he could hear.
Then he made the dumb speak again,
All these men told the world what he’d done for them.
And when they heard he had walked on water,
They said, ”please forgive us father.”
For you know that we have sinned
Then he spread his arms on the cross and said, “you’re forgiven.”

What Would You Do

What would you do?
If no one was in love with you,
Tell me would you cry?
Or would you rather just die?
I’m asking you,
What would you do?
If all that you had
was just a single grain of sand,
Tell me would you try,
to build an empire.
Just to have her back again,
and love her till the end.
I’m asking you,
What would you do?
If all that’s in your way
was a mountain of clay,
Then would you climb,
to the other side.
Just to see her pretty face
at the start of every day.
I’m asking you,
What would you do?
If she put her heart up for grabs
tell me would you be the man,
To take and hold it tight,
and guard it with your life.
So that you could say,
“I’ll be with you everyday.”
What would you do?
Yeah, what would you do?
If she whispered I love you,
would you yell I love you to.
Because I’ll tell you son,
Just what I should have done.
When she was still with me
I should have treat her like a queen,
But I didn’t know,
That girl could hurt me so.
For when I told her goodbye,
she simply walked out of my life,
And I miss that girl,
To me she meant the world.
Now I search night and day
for the love I threw away.
Lord I’m on my knees,
and I beg you please,
won’t you bring her back to me.

I Can'T Love You

The only thing I cannot do,
Is tell you girl I don’t love you.
I held you for so many years,
I don’t want to make you cry those tears.
But I love another girl right now,
I wish I knew the words to tell you how.
That I want to hold you in my arms,
And keep you safe from any harm.
But I know the best thing to do,
Is keep you from this man that can’t love you.
I’ll think about you night and day,
I wish that I could find a way,
To see you other than in my dreams,
But the other girl I’m with means more than anything.
Even though she doesn’t know it now,
I want to tell her exactly how,
I’ll love her till the end of time,
If that girl will be just mine.
But her eyes don’t lie they tell the truth,
They told me today I can’t love you.

Good Old Days

The good old days are gone,
And there’ll never be another song.
Like the one me and my daddy used to hear.
Have you heard that momma cries,
Since daddy’s no longer by her side.
Not a day goes by when she doesn’t shed a tear.
You know even brother’s changed,
He still can’t believe you went away.
And left him without even saying goodbye.
Sister just stares out the window,
For she’s still to young to know.
That she’ll never ever see you again in her whole life.
As for me I’ve gone crazy,
I keep telling myself these stories.
And though I know deep down,
The real reason you’re not around,
``I still picture you sitting there,
On the porch in your lawn chair
I can’t come to realize,
That your not alive.
