Good Old Days

The good old days are gone, And there’ll never be another song. Like the one me and my daddy used to hear. Have you heard that momma cries, Since daddy’s no longer by her side. Not a day goes by when she doesn’t shed a tear. You know even brother’s changed, He still can’t believe you went away. And left him without even saying goodbye. Sister just stares out the window, For she’s still to young to know. That she’ll never ever see you again in her whole life. As for me I’ve gone crazy, I keep telling myself these stories. And though I know deep down, The real reason you’re not around, ``I still picture you sitting there, On the porch in your lawn chair I can’t come to realize, That your not alive.
