Keep

Keep the promises you make.
                                       Pray for the answers you need.
                                       Keep finding things to laugh at.
                                       Keep remembering to never give up.

                                       Keep believing in yourself.
                                       Try every step of the way.
                                       Keep seeing the end in view.
                                       Keep telling yourself your special, unique.

                                      Keep memories in your heart.
                                      Keep learning from your trials.
                                      Keep a warm smile on your face.
                                      Keep listening to your favorite songs.

                                      Keep repenting when you sin.
                                      Keep thinking positive thoughts.
                                      Be a friend who’s always there.
                                      Keep learning, growing from mistakes you make.

                                      Keep sharing talents you have.
                                      Keep saying "I can," "I will."
                                      Keep learning new things each day.
                                      Keep telling yourself it's okay to cry.

                                      Keep forgiving those you hurt.
                                      Remember to keep your date.

Cute As a Button

Cute as a Button (for girls)

(Darla Mae Seely)

  I look at your cute little nose
  And how you wiggle your toes.
  I love how you smile at me.
  You're cute as a button, don't you agree?

  I look at the darling clothes you wear
  And the tiny bow in your hair.
  You seem to say to me,
 "I'm as cute as I can be."

 You're cute as a button, yes, you are.
 You were sent to earth from heaven afar.
 I love you, niece/daughter/etc. I hope you know.
 I will always tell you so.

Tigers Pounce On Their Prey

Tigers are the biggest cat in the wild
They love to pounce on their prey.
They lunge at animals' necks.
With their powerful jaws they hold on tight.

They pounce on and attack
Deer, wild boar and baby elephants.
When ill or injured, they will kill people
They can't catch their normal prey.

Tigers are known to hunt from dusk until dawn
When their prey are more active.
Their strong legs and sharp claws
Help them take down their prey efficiently.

Their keen sense of hearing and sight
Allow them to attack with precision.
Their unique coat patterns allow them
To get close to prey without being detected.

Hands

Hands

Hands are used to walk with a child.
They are so innocent and mild.
They are used to help a baby crawl.
A girl uses them to hold her doll.

Our hands are used to hug a loved one,
To play ball or something else that's fun.
They are used to wipe away a tear.
They are used to sign when you can't hear.

Hands are used to write a special note.
They are used to pet a cat or goat.
Hands are used to make a meal you like.
They are used to help you ride a bike.

Hands are used to rake leaves, plant a seed.
Kids use their hands to color or read.
Females use their hands to crochet or knit.
Baseball players wear a glove or mitt.

The Son's hands - nailed to the cross I know.
Females water flowers so they'll grow.
Hands are used to wash dishes and clothes.
They are used to hold a pretty rose.

Autumnal

A time to go back to school
Understand rain is warm or cool.
The pinecones fall to the ground.
Up in the sky lovely views are found.
Many leaves are red and yellow.
November is cold, not mellow.

Absent From School

Tony had an unwritten absence
Which he did not choose.
He suddenly became ill.
He hated having the blues.

He coughed, had a fever;
Lay completely still.
He felt nauseous,
And he had body chills.

His mom was the one
Who told the school his fate.
The teacher was saddened to hear
Tony did not feel great.

He hated missing school.
He was popular and smart.
He always studied hard.
He used his mind and heart.

It took a few days
Before Tony was well.
Then again went to each class
Before the tardy bell.

Be Sensitive

Show compassion for what your friends need.
Be patient when your child learns to read.
When they have fears, listen to them cry
And when struggling to find their way, tell them to try.

Be aware when a friend needs to heal.
Try to understand how they feel.
Forgive them when they do you wrong.
Help them feel God's love and be strong.

Do not judge your friend's mental scars.
Everyone fights physical wars.
Pray to know the right words to say.
Give your friend hope so they won't go astray.

Open your heart, accept their weaknesses too.
Care about them, value the great things they do.
Show and tell them your love is true.
Try to feel what they are going through.

Wonderful Things - Children

Their innocence;
Cute words they tell
Their first steps;
Hugs, kisses, smiles.

Seeing their surprised looks
When they open your gift;
The rocks they collect,
Snowmen they build.

Seeing them ride their bike;
Fly their kites up high,
Jump in mud puddles;
Enjoy trips to the  zoo.

Listening to them sing songs;
Count to ten or more,
Enjoy the little things in life;
Find new friends whose love is true.

The priceless things they do;
Things which help them grow,
The joy the young ones give
When they whisper "I love you."

Autumn

The red and gold leaves
So vibrant on Autumn trees
Is so breathtaking to me
