Election Debate

Two suits with familiar faces, the faces that we focus our battles.
These masters of the future, in your name they act, but you claim no blame.
So when a war is fought or the smog embalms us, will you still shout with tears that democracy lost out?

So the comedy continues, your part once more in audience.
And when our continued blinkered, forced ignorance prevails.
Will your sons and daughters blame the system, the money, or the Blairs?

Cream Against Green

Locks untangled slide freely over life giving, affirming white glow.
The indentation along the spines contours,
head moved forward, leant, exposed nape,
the very essence of, in archetype.

Panopticon

Centralised survailance, concrete division,
Altered states or pre-determined road.
Eyes are plenty, our voluntary will,
Concrete specimens of men, perfection of the imperfect.

Das Uber-mensch, learned, ingrained wish,
Whether body or mind, the image haunts.
Fallable or diseased? Where is the harmony in shared breath?

Walk in line, worship the 1%, nanny's eye will act as guide.

Awaking

I look straight through the pane,
and see the floating veins of branches, naked and sometimes in full bloom.

Behind this the national flag flaps away, raised by the good vicar's son, he used to be a lawyer, by the way, he likes to preach.

Always a jumbo in the distance,
to remind of the present days,
watches, phones and passports,
knocking back the gins, cruising above my bed.

The upstairs lot, have moved in,
and flush constantly,
the ubiquitous siren wails in the distance.
Time to emerge now, wallet, scarf and keys at the ready.

Reflexivity

The chores withheld and catered for,
un-tethered from your noose,
do you run and skip ahead?

A measured routine had quelled what you once knew,
what tomorrow's plans, sketched yesterday, lay down.

The very process to succeed,
your ambitious coded program
has crept grown and leveled dominance.

And now who works for who?
The decades pass and drag each moment.

A Leap Forthwith

Punctuated by the virtual fifth degree,
he placed his neck on the line,
the sucking, pinching tidal wave to slip away from the soft comforts and relapsed boredom.

The new, energized voices, never spelling the conventional way,
the pages of books he'd read, once or twice, erased and reread, compounding and retreating back to proto-motion.

The motion that is now, clear to him, a cog in a single machine.

A Sum Total

A sum total

Sit with me and weep together, an army of deflecters have tarnished our mutual bond and harmony,
in a mess of the feared and fearful.

Walk with me, this way, that we both thought was hollow, that have been written for us daily, the would-be the fantasies of the past.

Laugh, we don't have to continue to force a smile and let a vacuous tumult begrudgingly hinder our true spirits.

But for eight of the twenty four we both thought we could put our souls aside, for four of the twenty four we battled to remember who we were, back then.

Then we lost and blamed each other for the impending clouds of matter over mind.
So talk to me, look into my eyes and talk to me, it's only me
