Rosemarie Staat Poem
In a devastating crash, your life comes rushing in,
The pain is all around, and you don't like where you live.
You see your all alone, least that's the way it seems,
your realities up-side down and you wake up in a scream.
Just turn your head, you'll see your friends all by your side.
Just look ahead, you'll find the peace that lives inside.
The road is long, keep pressing on,He'll make you strong.
Always by your side.
Sometimes the pain is deep,we just break down and cry,
we don't like what we see,and we have no strength to try,
to pull ourselves out,of holes we've fallen into,
we wallow in the doubt and we don't know what to do.
Just turn your head, you'll see your friends all by your side.
Just look ahead, you'll find the peace that lives inside.
The road is long, keep pressing on,He'll make you strong.
Always by your side.

Rosemarie Staat Poem
Three boys and seven girls
Our house was never in a whirl
You were always giving and never taking
Meal after meal you were making
Never taking time for yourself
Always thinking about someone else
Three boys and seven girls
Our house was never in a whirl
With just one look
You could read me like a book
I laughed and said:
"You have eyes on the back of your head"
Three boys and seven girls
Our house was never in a whirl
When things went wrong
You stood so strong
Taking away all my fears
Comforting me with the words I longed to hear
Three boys and seven girls
Our house was never in a whirl
You made our house a home
With your warming tone
Laughter bounced off the walls
Joy flowed through halls
Three boys and seven girls
Our house was never in a whirl

Rosemarie Staat Poem
I broke my ties at seventeen, trying to find myself a life:
Sold my bike for sixty-five dollars, bought a ticket for a ride.
I was headed out to Oregon,on that crisp and frosty day.
I was living free..... I'm on my way!
We hit weather back in Idaho, the roads were iced and slick,
As we drove into a mountain pass, the snow was three feet thick:
the wind kept blowing us back and forth, the bus began to sway,
It's a long way down......I'm on my way!
The day God sent His angles,to carry me away:
to place my feet on firmer ground,to keep my body safe:
the day God sent His angles,to carry me away:
and to keep me safe....I'm on my way
As the wind would push against us,the bus would slide away,
closer to that mountain Clift,I clasped my hands to pray!
We were all about to lose our lives,we couldn't run away:
and I felt at peace....I'm on my way!
The day God sent His angels,to carry me away:
To place my feet on firmer ground,to keep my body safe:
the day God sent His angels,to show me the way,
And He's kept me safe....Along the way,

Rosemarie Staat Poem
Deep river flowing
Where are you going?
You began as a trickle
Your whitecaps then ripple
Over the rocks you glide
Rushing,deep and wide
Always in motion
Bound for the ocean
Beside you I rest
Inside you I'm refreshed
Relentlessly rearranging
Landscape you're changing
Deep river flowing
Where are you going?

Rosemarie Staat Poem
From the fist time I heard the call,
Of the Osprey in the air.
I knew I had a place to go,
A place where we can share,
Memories and stories
Of how our lives have been
How a boy grew into a man
And brought us back again
Life seems to come full circle
The memories of the past
Twin Lakes has been a part of him
And now it's part of us
Taking in the beauty
The broken heart will mend
Until the time the ones we love
Close the circle again.

Rosemarie Staat Poem
Words that soothed
Ideas that delighted
Moved and reminded
A circle completed
A cycle repeated
The senses behold
The call of a goose
In the first winter snow
Melting ice flowers arose
Faith brings hope
The symbols of memories
Of days gone by

Rosemarie Staat Poem
Your humor is my laughter
Your laughter is my joy
Your joy is my happiness
Your happiness in my gladness
Your gladness is my peace
Your peace is my contentment
Your contentment is my satisfaction
Your satisfaction is my pleasure
Your pleasure is my delight
Your delight is my surprise
Your surprise is my gift
Your gift is my love

Rosemarie Staat Poem
You called again this evening,
Had nothing good to say,
Right in stride, with the side you hide
And petty games you play.
I want to say I love you
But you just turn away,
It seems as though you hate me
But that's not what you say
There's a center that's inside you
You find out just what is real
So that you can rise above it
Get in touch with how you feel
And if you don't find your center
You'll forget just how to feel.

Rosemarie Staat Poem
Today we celebrate another year
with our friends and our family so dear.
We're as happy now as the day we vowed,
our love has grown richer with years.
Come waltz my darling,
come waltz with me
and tell me that we'll never part.
I still hold you dear after 50 years.
I still hold you dear to my heart.
I think of our life as a song in kind,
the tempos been constant,no pause
and if I could compare our marriage to a song
then I'd say ours is a waltz.
Come waltz my darling,
come waltz with me
and tell me that we'll never part.
I still hold you dear after 50 years,
I still hold you dear to my heart,
I still hold you dear after 50 years,
I hold you dear to my heart.

Rosemarie Staat Poem
The moments sadness long and lasting
for you daughter's hand I asked your blessing
you made me smile,
your heart did beguile
you held your loving arms around me.
We took our vows with you beside us
and there we said our last good-bye,
then you slipped away
like the sun going down
but your warmth remains
heavy the silent sound.
Father spoke of you this morning,
your path in life he was adorning
all the love you gave
the children that you raised
the home that you made
sheltered and kept them safe.
The moments sadness long and lasting
as I linger on your passing
I will take her hand
hold her when she cries
we will build a home
and we will share your light.
