Two Ice Cream Bars

Today it was so hot
I had a Haagen-Dazs
ice cream bar

Three minutes later
I went back
to the Korean deli
and this time
I had a Twix
ice cream bar

If you are counting
that's two ice cream bars
in a matter of minutes

Little Crush

I love the way she walks
I love the way she talks
I love the way she laughs
I love the way she acts
I get this feeling all over
All the way to my toes
I have a crush
A little teenage crush
I don't know what to do
About this lovely little crush

If she only knew
About the way I feel
Maybe she would blush
Maybe she would run away
Maybe she would hug me
Maybe she feels the same
That's wishful thinking
No need to rush

I love the way she smiles
The way she wears her hair
If she only knew
Would she run to me
Don't know what to do
About this lovely little crush

Forever You

Skin on skin
My hand touches yours
I get the feeling
That you've been this far before

I see the beauty of your dark eyes
And your smile
Your sweet laugh tells me we can
Make it last
Can friendship grow to something a little more

I sense that you feel like I do
Your all alone now its only you
I get a glimpse of what it
Could be like lying in your arms

Maybe you can take that step
You want to experience this
A kind of love you never knew
Even existed

Dirtbag Cowboy

it smells like sex in here he said as
he walked into the bedroom
it's time to put some clothes on
we have a busy day
she only has one request
before she can get up
a jack daniels on ice
that's what she needs
to start this thing out right
here are your panties and bra
and what was your name again?

April and Everything After

hello little school girl
how do you do
travis says he loves you
think I could love you too
you look very healthy
all sobered up
maybe you need an older man
in your troubled life

you and your firm legs
and everything above
but I wonder and I wonder
can perversion go on like this
I wish and I pray
that you were closer to twenty-six

but for now
this will have to do
maybe I can get my chance
with Pocahontas, me and you

Bosnian Badass

I was born very young
I was born very rich
I inherited millions
of red blood cells
and white blood cells
from my parents
look alive

Just a Geek, Just My Type

There was a woman
Today at the bookstore
On Bardstown Road
Her hair was purple
With a little green
Mixed in for class
I guess
She had glasses with
Black frames
Wearing a blue dress
Her breasts were pointy
Firm and round
I smiled at her
She smiled a fake smile
And we went
Our separate ways
Too bad I said
She was a nerd
Just a geek
Just my type

Festival

This free love session
has made a man out of me
barefoot girls dancing everywhere!
beards and banjos
the young hippie chick
with the flowers in her hair
I'd love to go on a trip myself, amen
said the old man selling brownies
and then the band
fires up and I hear an
overwhelming roar
and I gravitate
to the music

Food Stamp Phone

a food stamp phone, a food stamp phone,
my ole lady wants a food stamp phone.
chatting all night with jean, tom, and joan
my ole lady wants a food stamp phone.
says she must have one to connect with the
people she needs to talk to the most and I'm always
gone and she's so alone.
she's willing to give up t.v. and whatever else there is
as long as she can have a food stamp phone.

Prayer For Her

Got to get out of this dirty old city
It smells like sweat, malt liquor, urine, sex, and dirt
Wants to find some meaningful sex
From a beautiful latino or Asian girl
She wants to make her parents proud
She wants to live a life not being
Chemically dependent to all these drugs
Now she feels as though she is wearing
A crown of thorns
Being totally shunned by all her old friends
She has no friends anymore
Just acquaintances and drug dealers
Or friends who are not really friends
Just moochers, or dealers with a license to kill
And we can only hope
That she isn't next to die in this madness
