Lady Justice

This is like, a contemporary, rhyming-take on a sonnet. Nothing serious. Just havin fun. Enjoy, ladies and gentlemen!

“Lady Justice”

Shadow on pavement's not sparkling white
The chill, dark space consumes the light

The Lady in robes takes truth to weigh:
the blind, the sad, the sick, the great

Palms decay, they sweat, unsure,
shaping shells to pock the world

With chaos, war, compassion dies
as twisted lips are spilling lies

Power turns inverted, deaf
The rebel's voice, defeated, left

Peace decreed for mass-deception
as the Powers That Be breed misconceptions
for justice is nothing but interpretation

Black Sheep

Beat the fight from this one – try
cannot smother that which burns inside
Twisted words to suit their ways
hypocrisy breeds ill for taste
Unlawful hands lurched out to take
the fight from shell of hero-make
Failed they, so brave is he,
he fought them, beat them, single-handedly!

Indifference

Love and trust is fantastic
shit

Indifference reigns supreme

Victory for the sociopaths
Patterns paint depressing scenes

Grey, blue - you know the colors, boys

Watch me fade to background noise
within this sad-ass heap, down I lie

Radical

Breakin’ the law so I can enjoy my liberties denied,
a radical in this stagnant, pharmaceutical, spoon-fed look-a-like contest

What do you do in your spare time? I’m asked,
     and I laugh
They point and jeer, but they cannot see what I see – sometimes,
     when you combine, you lose
your identity

So stand alone, where you can see the web,
     the spider
Weaving stories only you can tell,
     only you can sing
Wanna hear the break-down?
     Then, break it
down
