Letter To My Brother

My Bro
I hurt for you.
I think of you often.
Locked away behind prison bars,
This is not your fate, it's not who you are!
I hope to see you someday soon
I cherish your letters
I misserz you
My Bro

Spring Has Sprung

Spring has sprung, noticing on my way out
The budding vegetation seems to stand up and shout
“Look at me!” fave time of the year
They stand tall, most without fear
Yep, surely spring has come-Live on bud sprout!

Pierced

She has metal in her face:
tongue ring, nose ring, cheek pierced too,
Studs, rings, barbells, hoops, loops, balls
shooting out from every where!
Her piercings shine in the Sun;
twinkling bright to the eye.
I had a love for them, too;
with rings in my tongue, ears, nails,
none of which healed properly
so I don't have any now
I decorate my body less permanently instead.

Black Perspective

I live in Vermont, a white man’s land!
Not like home, with white beach sand.
Although I often feel singled out,
My neighbors are always willing to lend a helping hand.

Martin L King Jr, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks
They are learned about in books and drawn in the arts.
History so solid, so undeniable
Walking into a room all eyes hit me like darts.

Black History focused on for a month out of the year,
February so short, gonna shed me a tear!
For we all have struggled, some fight to be equal
No so many of us live in such fear!

I ask you once, I ask you twice
Before you sit down and call me a vice,
Did you ever think that I could be her?
Hair down my back, someone’s beautiful wife

My man loved me- he fought to his death
He said “I love you” with every single breath
Now I’m alone, hurt, scared and torn
While your sons walk down my street- they’re dealing meth

Is it really so hard to see
That you are the same as me?
We all bleed red
So why not let us be?

I hurt
But I won’t be the next one to lie in the dirt
My morals, self-value and love of life keep me going
I am many things, but defiantly not inert.

So this being said
To those that say I’m better off dead
You can bow down
To kiss the feet of this Queen instead.

Our Love

He loves me
Unconditionally conditional
Always fighting for what’s real
Holding firmly onto one another
Unconditionally conditional
Emotional emotions
Holding firmly onto one another
Sparing no time without a kiss
Emotional emotions
Always fighting for what’s real
Sparing no time without a kiss
He loves me

Animals Blissful Haven

A cherry wind falls,
Blissfully blowing in the trees.
Chimpanzees chirping,
Dancing in the Sun.
Elephants galloping,
Flirting with their trunks.
Giraffes eating apples,
Happily exploring Earth.
Indigenous people making bear fat
Jam, yummy as the blood drips down
Killing is a part of life here,
Living in this land.
Monkeys frolic and play;
New territory to explore.
Opposition to the hunters,
People protest
Quietly, unsure of the motives as
Roaring loud
Sounds of lions
Touch the ear of the young.
Unique is an understatement
Vowing to live this way for life
We are all one
Xi, being the 14th letter of the Greek alphabet, and the # of dinosaurs living here
You would never guess that we live in a
Zoo, would you?

Florida Nature

Out of the corner of my eye
I see a tree
The beauty of it seems to speak to me
I wind down the dry dirt road
And find myself eye to eye
    With an Orange Grove!
The beauties are bulging.
    With Bright orange fruit
Their citrus scent filling the air
To my right, a garden of greens,
     Even an Adirondack chair!
The wheat grows tall just across the way
The bows of the trees sway
Seems as if they’re trying to say
    “Hello! Good day!”
Oh walking along, on this bright harvest day

Forgiveness

I forgave you once, for your behavior
I forgave you twice, for your actions
all the while you're stabbing my heart with a butcher knife
      with Every Strike!
I take a bow
Lord, let me live somehow!
I promise, I'll leave him tomorrow!
I beg and I plead for my life
As my nose bleeds blood onto the floor
You strike me again and call me a whore!
I can't take it, I gasp for breath as you try to
    Choke me to death
Something breaks the trance, a knock at the door
"Stay here you evil witch" you whisper as you fling my head to the side
I moan, and I cry, wonder~how could I end up with this type of guy
I shudder when I hear the door slam shut
cuz I know you'll only be nice for a while,
you'll walk around with that pretty smile,
You'll give me hugs, kisses, cuddles and great sex
You'll cook for me, clean the house, take me out
Everyday you're ripping my stitches out
because I forgive you time and time again
  And your actions Never Change
       You're not a nice man.
And you don't deserve me at my best or at my worst.
You don't deserve my forgiveness;
   so you're getting my curse

In Memory

Bright
Sun
Shining
Birds chirping
I swallow hard and
Raise my glass up to honor you
You left this world too soon, my heart is left chasing you

In loving memory of A.A.S.

Although babies cough, dead effort finds growth happens intensely, just kind love, most noble ones parent quite restfully since they usually vow with xinshi youth zoos.
