Zero To Hero

I have something to say,
for those having a bad day.

When you feel like your world is turning grey,
go to Burger king and have it your way.

If someone asks how you are, don't lie.
Don't cry.

Don't die.
Just go eat pie.

When you are feeling low,
Don't let go.

Take things slow.
Later on, you will grow.

Go with the flow.
Put on a show.

You will never again be a zero.
You will be announced as a hero.

Secret Place

There is a secret place,

out in my own time space.

You have to enter in a fast pace,

like you are trying to win a race.

I entered through a sinking door.

Inside there are many wonders galore.

Many things in store.

Nothing in there will be a bore.

This place should be banned.

No one should enter, it's surrounded by sinking sand.

If they try to enter ,there punishment should be gran,

they should be whipped by hand.

This place is easy to forget.

It seems like a threat.

This place can put you in debt.

So fly far away on a jet.

I Choose Jesus

This life isn't a loss,

Jesus is the one who died up on that cross.

You forgave my sins, set me free.

You were there, you were right above me.

If I choose your direction,

You will always provide protection.

The life I choose is with you.

You made me new.

I look at my life and pause.

I'm not who I was.

Silent Pain

I have a feeling called "The Silent Pain"
My whole world has been beaten and broken down.
In this world, there is nothing left for me to gain.
I might as well just drown.
As my wrists bleed, it becomes harder for me to strain.
Life makes me frown.

Others see me in the day
and they think I'm doing well.
I feel like moving away
and entering my own hell.
I then think of "him", I want to make him pay.
Without making a sound, I want to scream and yell.

Time hasn't healed my pain at all.
The ache is building in my chest.
I have begun to create a wall.
I wish this would end, I need rest.
I want to quiet my fears.
But instead I just shed these silent tears.

Healing

In my eyes, I feel like a fake

I keep on making the same mistake

I keep failing

My heart keeps wailing.

My family isn't proud of me,

I mean why would they be?

Is all this happening for a reason?

Or this just a season?

All these emotions I am feeling.

This is the process of healing.

Coffeehouse Poetry

I wasn't the friend to you that you were to me all along.
I must have been lacking
I must have been wrong
I figured you were done and slowing packing.

Times got rough
We created a wall
You seemed tough
But sometimes I wish you would just call.

Just like glass, my heart was broken
Just like a star you lit up my world.
There are still words left unspoken.
Inside of me, my stomach has swirled.

I can't concentrate on anything I do
At the moment, I am feeling confused.
The sky is turning grey from being sunny and blue.
My heart has been bruised.

In the end all I have to say is : I love you, Do you love me?
Our friendship is like a sheltering tree.

Waves

These waves are taking me under.

I can't hold on much longer.

There is a loud roar of thunder.

Lord, make me stronger.

Help me face this fight.

Lord you are higher than the mountains that I face.

Let my light shine bright.

The enemy is always on my case.

Lord I want to see you on the other side.

Your love will never retire.

I don't want to hide.

Lord you are my greatest desire.

Breaking Out

Why do I keep going back to the past?
I thought all of my fears had been cast.
I think too much
about life and such.

My desires and fears are holding me back.
I feel like my head is going to crack.
Why don't I just move ahead?
Cause I'm petrified and move back instead.

Too much thinking makes me go crazy.
My head is getting a little hazy.
I need to move past this stage.
I want to break out of this cage.

Hot Mess

I'm a hot mess,

I'm losing my mind.

I have too much stress

It's myself I need to find.

You were my first love,

and I wanted you to be my last.

I feel like I was just someone you needed to get rid of.

Now I have become a part of your past.

Knives have been thrown at my heart.

I thought you were my guy.

I need an opportunity to restart.

It's going to take me awhile to say goodbye.

Waiting Here For You

I thought I was finally here,
But I was nowhere near.
Where is the end?
My soul is longing to mend.

I don't want to wait anymore,
Waiting is such a bore.
But everything has its perfect time.
To reach further, we have to climb.

I am prone to worry,
and my eyes are blurry.
I want things to be different,
I want it this instant.

But God I trust in your promises today.
I know you won't let me go astray.
I know God has plans for me,
and I can't wait to see.
