The Monster In Me

I can feel its gaze on me
those eyes full of blood lust
cold, calulating
assessing every inch of me
but I dont know why?
its always there
whispering in my ear
so convincing I somtimes forget myself
sometimes screaming at me
calling me a failure
worthless
pathetic
then there's me, the real me
not that moster
not that vile creature
no this one reminds me
of the hope I see
that I am not alone and never was
that I am worth it
but...
somtimes its hard to hear me, the real me

You and I

all I see is you
and all you see is me, so
no longer alone

Rebel Raindrop

the sun shines on bringing down warmth
its the bluest of all blue skys in all of time and space
brilliant white clouds dot the sky
a single raindrop threatens to fall from a cloud
dares the sun to hold him back
taunts the wind to stop him
but then its to late
he falls
no one can stop him now
he's a Rebel Raindrop

Emerald Forest

emerald confins of the forest
teeming with life
fearless
spellbound
ceaseless in the invisible current

No Escape

voiceless in my own speech
not aloud any thoughts of my own
engulfed in darkness
with no known escape
only faint memories of light
appear as hope, and screams at me
Don’t give up!
Not now!
You WILL Survive!
I want to believe that there’s hope
but it’s so hard to keep going
and it’s so easy to surrender...

Who Am I

I’m the next great thing
I’m the good and bad
I’m a mask
I’m a monster
I’m an angel
I’m striving for the best
I’m the worst
I’m forgetful
I’m resourceful
I’m positively hopeless
I am filled with hope
I’m the improbable doing the impossible
I am who I am

Summers Last Words

The last drops of green linger in the pools of vibrant crimson and dusted hues of antique gold as if to whisper I'll be back, just you wait and see

Words For the Lost

The words fly out on paper
Blank paper
A wide open space
To make mistakes
To fall
And to rise above them
Them, those who doubt me
Who look down on me?!
Who think I’m no more than a child
But I’m more!
I’m a writer
A thinker
An explorer
I write these words for those who are lost
Lost in life
Lost in thought
Lost in doubt
Because they are more
They are life
They
Are
The
Future

Those who were lost are found once more for no one should be lost

Bad Day

chaos ensured
no turning back now
nefarious plans sing out for my demise
wish I could turn back now
destruction everywhere
no point wishing for the past
for that's not how time works
but you know what, I think I might just survive

On the Edge

We stand on the edge of this world and fear nothing
We feel the wind whip around us like the wings of a bird
Yet we fear nothing not death or life
Not of loneliness or any thing
For we are not alone
We do not die forever
We stand on the edge of this world and feel life coursing through us
We feel the wind empowering us
We fear nothing and feel everything
