Tamika Terry Poem
ONE DAY
As I pray for a better day
I repent and thank God for all the bad days.
As I wipe my eyes and hang my head in shame
I realize I’m the only one I can blame.
As I strike out to try to release the pain from within
I pray that GOD forgives me for my sins.
I know one day things will be different ,but until then
I guess I’m my best friend
So many tears that nobody seems to notice
And so many dreams that keep me focused
As I carry on with my mission, searching for my purpose
I’ll find a better day
And you ask me when
ONE DAY

Tamika Terry Poem
When my mind begins to wonder
My feet began to walk,
Ideas hit me like lighting,
and my visions as blurry as smeared chalk.
Lord knows I’ve been trying to do right and it got me so bored I can shout.
I need to get out!
But if I do I become another soul lost in the night,
Feeling as if things are either too easy or too hard for me to think of change.
So I maintain by allowing things to remain the same
I know haft of the things I do are wrong,
Yet in my mind it’s all part of the game,
When my mind begins to wonder it’s on
