Subliminal Victory

Scar my intention
Weaken my voice of doubt.
Like a lion caught
In a mousetrap -
Ducking and Diving
And finding
No end
To this dark tunnel
Of retribution.
And for a fleeting moment,
I accept.
I accept me.
Without modification
Or criticism.
I am me
For all
Eternity.

Veteran

Hundreds of slices
 Dress your abdomen;
The pain of a thousand wars.
 Tiny glittering drops
 Decorate your forehead.

Your breathing
 Creates a pattern
Of swirling smoke in the mist.
 The grey debris of battle
 Coats your tongue
 Like a long forgotten language
 Fluently flowing from your throat.

Coughing up your gut;
A silver pearl slides out your mouth
And covers you in sublime misery
 While you cocoon yourself,
 Waiting for your demise.

Losing Concentration

In the middle of thought,
A bug appears in my tea
I watch how it swirls around in circles
 Creating patterns in the liquid,
 Catching the colours
 Of the world around it.

I look outside To see the reflection
And find a dove Watching me from the window.

 What was I thinking
 Before I got distracted?

The dove takes flight And disappears.
 I look in my tea;
 Still as the air.

 No bug to be seen.

 Now what was I thinking?

Home Affairs Part 1

These are the last words,
My moment of finality.
With cars driving past
And Pollution triggering the onset
Of a great earth shattering sneeze.
The system is down,
But people still hang around.

I feel the urge to burst into song
To rid us of our anger
And aggression towards the system.

But singing won't help.
We want what we came for,
What we can't go without.

We are slaves to the system,
The system that's crashed
And left us stranded
With no place to go. But back home.

Spice Route Journeying

Thunder is irrelevant
When eating cheese.
I find myself trapped
Between the trees
Under the watery cage
Of Koi floating
With lucky coins
In their mouths.
The thunder is coming
Despite the irrelevance.
How disturbing
On such a peaceful stage.

Untitled

Everyday is another battle;
 A war within myself;
A fight to find the winner,
Then leave her dusty on the shelf.
I thought I had the answers,
 But soon they seemed obscured.
 Not knowing the origin,
And thinking I had the cure.
 Where do these battles end?
At the bottom of a hill,
 Where life and death collide;
Just take this one last pill.
 Everything will be better
 Once leaving my own life
 I can astral travel anywhere
With no worries and no strife.
 But thinking is a demon,
It can curse you to your death.
But isn’t that what I want?
No more life, no more breath?
Not sure of this, I ponder
 And look toward the moon.
 Hope glows in the blackness;
 The answers will come soon.

My Anthem

Inside I see
The light within.
The sun of time -
It's in my mind.
I speak of those
Who've known before
Who know that now
There is no more.
I try over time
To find my
Revolution
Of life;
My beginning
And my end.
But where are all the lines
That I must cross
Before the time
Runs out.
Where do I heed
My own
Internal prize?
Where is the sun now?
I'm crashing into the side of life
As the sun beats upon my skin.

Follow Me

It is the beginning
Of something new.
It is the eruption
Of an oncoming experience.
Tell the wolves I'm home,
I'm in the mood to try new things.
The insincerity of experiences
With humans insecure
In their own skins,
Seems to deflate the objective
Of the brainache society has become.
Come with me,
Follow my barefoot path.
Reconnect with your home,
Mother Earth.
Experience yourself
Devoid of social clutter,
Your neighbours opinions really don't matter.
This life you are living
Is a journey for the soul,
 Not for the ego
Or, for that matter,
 The bank balance.
Lose it all,
 Start afresh,
Follow me.

Soaring Soul

Through my pen,
words open doors,
unlocking secrets
that my soul has kept hidden
in plain view.
I am the stardust
of love
exploded
Into millions of
me's
introducing
new concepts
to ancient ways.
I AM
the only thing I see
when I look into
the eyes of others.
My heart soars
as the eagle flies
with my dragon by my side
above the clouds, we glide,
be-ing true
and free
to forever
be ME.
