Subliminal Victory

Scar my intention
Weaken my voice of doubt.
Like a lion caught
In a mousetrap -
Ducking and Diving
And finding
No end
To this dark tunnel
Of retribution.
And for a fleeting moment,
I accept.
I accept me.
Without modification
Or criticism.
I am me
For all
Eternity.
